The most disturbing thing about this Holliday, is the kids who are witnessing every year this barbaric act done by their parents. The kid watches the poor animal die in agony and is then desensitized to violence at a young age.
How can he be in agony, there are rules like: the knife needs to be sharp enough so that the process happens quickly and that there is not too much pain on the animal, the animal needs to be separated from the herd so that the herd doesn’t get scared if they see the animal from their herd die, we Muslims don’t do the other evil practices like injecting an animal with a substance that makes it die overtime in extreme pain.
I'm curious: do you think that it is painless? How do you think it would feel if your throat were slit and your blood were allowed to drain out while you die? It can take several minutes and there is no way this is a painless death.

If this is how your God likes his meat prepared, he is no God for he revels in torture, how can the father of all things allow something so cruel towards his flock?

When we got there I told him I would rather stay in the car because I don't want to see that. After much preaching and telling me how good it is to see this I persisted I would not go in. There are the millions upon millions of sheep and cattle that are transported from Australia to the Middle East for the sacrifice during the Islamic festival of Eid-al-Adha, and these animals suffer horribly during the cruel journey, and immensely afterwards upon landing in the Middle Eastern heat where they are brutally slaughtered.

I think I just discovered a guy I know pretty well, who is from Portugal. Who has never spoken about religion, did not seem religious in any way shape or form. Is a Muslim. I don't say it in a really bad way if you get my meaning. It's just that I have known him for 3 years, we do not meet that often, but live within an hour of each other. Next thing I see him on Instagram in Morocco with a long white robe on during Eid-al-adha. I am more I would say shocked if he is as it's not something we ever spoke about and he kept a secret. And I am sure I have said negative things about Islam during some of our conversations. His parents are not Muslim, his friends are not Muslim. He is a great guy who loves nature and the land, no doubt raised a Catholic but not religious. If now it turns out he has been seeking something, or missing something in his life and turned to Islam. I would honestly be totally shocked. He can do what he wants, but for me, it shows a total lack of self-awareness. Low information and not truly looking deeper into the religion. Call it a surface knowledge, enjoying the sense of community and such. I cannot understand how someone raised in the west, who has a brain, the internet. Can then turn around and feel like that ideology is the answer to any questions they have about their place in the world.

Animal Sacrifice is generally not practiced in Christianity as the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ permanently abolished animal sacrifice. But its still practiced in Islam though & is also practiced in Hinduism too.
It's rampant in traditional Judaism and Islam

I usually agree with most of the statements in your videos. However, on this issue I must disagree. The reason for this is that in most theologies (all of them) people don't know how to worship God and thus God must tell them and it's usually an animal sacrifice. In Christianity for example the last sacrifice was the Lamb (Jesus) so Christians don't have this practice. Interestingly enough according to history sources the Jewish people abandoned these practices soon after.
The problem with Islam is there practices are based on nothing...
