3:40 They designed the nuts like that because “It’s the Porsche of work trucks.” (Porsche single wheel nuts on GT3s work that way too) (The movies Get Shorty had the catchphrase, “It’s the Cadillac of minivans” to dupe customers.)
Thanks for sharing your videos, always interesting and entertaining. Have you ever given any thoughts to getting a laser cleaner for rust. Might be an easy service to add to quickly clear up rust on wheels and treat with inhibitors. The abilities of the laser cleaners are magical and the prices are dropping.
Left-handed nuts only on one side, that way as the wheel spins (centrifugal forces) tightens the nuts all the nuts will be turning the same way as you drive forward slightly tightening or just keeping them tight. older Mopar's and newer Japanese trucks have them I am sure there are others, the studs are marked with a L.
The right side are already turning in the correct direction for the self-tightening effect that's why it's always only one side that is left-handed Engine cooling fans are sometimes left-hand threads for this same tightening effect. You sometimes learn these things the hard way. Believe me Iam old!
Tire doctor, I don't trust my hammer swinging skills so I take the mini that was behind you and lay the teeth flat then push down on the bead. I'm an equipment operator, not a good hammer swinging dude. I worked after school for a tire company after school for 4 years. I learned a lot. Stay away from tubes, and always take the core out when you set the beads. 😢 That's been along time ago.
Left hand thread lug nuts were very common before the 1970's on many cars.
Nice work, Doc. I'm just over in Kingsville if you need anything welded 👍
Really enjoy your video’s. What kind of plugs do you use? I’m just curious.
On all my trucks, pickup, and cars, when I put a new tire on a new valve steam is installed aslo.

At the tire shop I work at we use Murphys. What do you use to work around the beads? Prema is awesome to order from!
Good job Doctor

Doesn’t explain why the right side comes off like normal though 🤔

I’m a commercial tyre fitter and this what I’ve always been told as well weird but makes sense
Could you explain that one to me. An engine fan is bolted to a spinning shaft. A wheel stud is not revolving on its axis.
@@marcw1867science .old stuff was made right and I’m guessing your a mechanic not a commercial tyre fitter
Nice tire doctor

Be one with the hammer
Tuk tuk tires are the most difficult ones.
