LOL it was just some thin plastic circle thing.. looks like it was from a water bottle or something 😂 like you know when you open a soju bottle & there's the stringy part where you break off and you can turn that into a circle? x'D
Loved the vlog! 😀 Was a great mix of places to visit, food, and your overall experience! Was very engaging and I enjoyed watching along. The eating alone thing was relatable 😬I used to worry about eating out alone but honestly I just realized that I just need to enjoy myself and not care about what other people think (and they often don't care). Made it much more enjoyable! Also...watching this vlog on an empty stomach was not a good idea cause I'm starving now 😛 I hope your eye is better and that you found out what the issue was 😥 Glad you've been taking time and working on yourself and even going to therapy. It's such an important thing that people often push aside. Thanks for the great vlog and as always looking forward to the nextt! 👊I hope you have a good time in New York!

It’s probably going to sound shallow but you’re an attractive young woman.. it’s not embarrassing at all to eat alone at a restaurant. But I can understand how it could be a bit embarrassing if you’re less attractive. People will prob joke about it and say “we can see why it’s table for one”
Just went to DC myself a month ago on my solo travel trip across the US. Definitely agree with the eating alone part, people need to be comfortable being by themselves and enjoying their own company, although social media/society does push the idea that we always need to be with friends, or have someone with us, in order to not look "weird". Hope your eye feels better, and enjoy New York! Probably my favourite city I've been to!

@@MelindaTseFilms I thought I was gonna miss home and be lonely, but nope! And yeah I just chose the words everyone was most tired of hearing during the pandemic 🤣
I never realized until maybe 5 or 6 years ago that going out to eat/the movies/concerts etc. alone was considered "sad" or something to be ashamed of in North American culture. So I can testify that it's all in the mind and it doesn't hurt if you didn't know it was supposed to hurt xD In a way, I actually almost feel the opposite...often times when I'm out wandering alone, I think "wow how lucky am I that everyone else around me is here because of work/meeting work clients, or with family/has to consider what other family members want to do/eat - maybe they didn't even want to eat at this restaurant, or is with their friend and because they respect that person as a friend, tries to accommodate their preferences, and here I am - I can do whatever I want to do whenever I want to do it, I can go anywhere I want, if I want to think about something, I can do that without having to worry about entertaining whoever is with me, if I want to want to watch this movie, I don't have to care if they want to watch it too or maybe they've already seen the movie...such freedom!
