I have the worst mid day slumps too!!! I literally dread late afternoon bc I know how sleepy I will be. The main thing that helps me is taking a quick walk w my dog and having a tea which always gives me a bit of a boost to pull me through the afternoon 😅🍵😭
I've found loosening the screws just barely on those kind of door hinges do the trick! You definitely can't tell looking at it but it helps it close smoother and look straighter in my experience!

Have you thought about moving your bed over to the side and close the closet door, then put the bed back .That way i think you will have enough room to open and close your door . Just a thought .
