I think Norman shouldn't be a cheap skate. Give lemmo that guitar. He deserves it for all the excellent marketing Mike is doing. Beating mark hands down....I mean hands down
mike definitely deserves it, but i don’t think norm’s a cheapskate for that. last 1955 tele i saw that was in that good of shape was on reverb for $27,500... that’s a big gift.
but mike definitely beats out mark, he gets better every episode. he rocks. long live the lemmo!

My first guitar was also purchased at Sam Ash Franklin Mills - a black Epiphone Les Paul Standard. Still have it, 20 years later. Today, I own a Fender Custom Shop Strat and a Gibson Custom Shop 1960 LP, but I'll never forget the day I purchased that Epiphone LP. Growing up in the suburbs just outside Northeast Philly, the Sam Ash at Franklin Mills was my go to store.

That tele is sweeter'n molasses. Michael does such a great job on these demos and really showcases the soul of the instrument. Great player and dude.

So awesome to have family. I feel very fortunate to have grown up in South Philadelphia. Some really heavy guitarist like Pat Martino, Jimmy Bruno, Kurt Rosenwinkel were right in the neighborhood. I few of my guitars came from Cintioli's!

That's why they make a 50s and 60s Tribute Teles! The sound, body wood, and fingerboard radius on the 50 is flatter.

What an Uncle...great story...!
Can see the dichotomy between the really light weight vintage teles (under 7lbs) and the dark circuit. Especially in the middle position. Get the dark circuit and the twangy open bridge pickup. Reminds of the heavyweight teles of the 70s early 80s (8lbs+) with a bright neck and modern wiring. Kind of the same effect but achieved in very different ways.

luv it when you get the Led out , one of my favorite songs of all time , and one of the first licks I ever tried to master , still don't do it nearly as well as Lemmo but ,who does? Page I suppose. Awesome guitar, great sound just a classic RnR vibe , and always a pleasure to listen to Lemmo noodle, that song with the looper was so cool , such feeling , such tone , you can hear his passion for guitar in every note. , thanks guys

This "DARK" circuit also has a BOTH PICKUPS position, if you use that first notch position, with ONE being the bridge pickup, then the ONE NOTCH is both pickups. These were usually both pickups wired out-of-phase, a-la James Burton as played on some of Ricky Nelson's hits.
