Thank you. I had disassembled other Frigidaire window air conditioner units. With my 8000 BTU Frigidaire window unit I had the problem of not being able to get the front panel off, And spent at least an hour trying to figure it out before I finally came upon your wonderful video. Your video is the only one that showed to slide the front panel to the side that you want to remove, and following your instructions, it came off easily. Thank you for all the detail with your videos.
This tear down video help me a lot , to get an idea what's in side i have a 35 year old hardwired a/c i need to remove from the wall i cut the 220 cord the breaker off the pencil tester show some current at the unit but nowhere else i think it was the capacitor feedback anyway the cord was cut in half without indecent , next remove the unit from the sleeve for disposal
Hi, First let me thank you for this very clear and informative video. I have this exact unit in an upstairs “music room” that I purchased as a temporary solution because of a central unit failure. My AC was installed on 6/28/23 and used for approximately 4 months. It initially worked flawlessly. I recently I turned it back on because it was 82 degrees outside. After running for several hours the room stayed at a constant 80 degrees inside. I removed the unit as you did in this video and immediately noticed that the compressor is NOT running at all. After calling Frigidaire and supplying a list of information and photos they requested for warranty service, I receive an email a few hours later saying that they needed a photo of the “black and silver serial tag” before they could complete and warranty service request…of which I had already been told by their representative that they would replace my unit since it is under warranty. Long story short…there is no such tag anywhere on my unit. I have a white tag with the serial number and model number and they are saying I sent them the wrong photo…lol. I’m going to have a very direct talk with them tomorrow about this whole ordeal. Do you have any suggestions? Where might I look for the possible tag location? I have not removed any tags from any surface of the unit interior or exterior. No matter what happens, thank you so much for your video!
Hello Sir, thanks for the video. I have same unit. and year later just as warranty expired stopped working. Fan works. sounds like compressor coming on, humming noise but no cool air flowing. I would appreciate if you please provide some readings for Compressor C to S and C to R and R to S. also how i can know if compressor capacitor is good or bad? If compressor is bad can i replace it and where i can find the compressor. it 15000 btu unit. frigidaire FFRE153WAE. also if you please give me some suggestions on checking the circuit board and what relay should i check? I will really appreciate your help. thank you.
No no no. Nothing is standard on these different models on how to get front covers off. Engineers have little math skills and alot of ability to fidget, but not any people commonsense. Microsoft and Apple made fortunes realizing such and invented "user friendly". Coming back are the days when the Chinese Engineers copy MIA and put out devises influenced by ancient lock boxes - it will be so that even mechanics can't get to motors to make repairs.

Is it possible to replace the condenser fan blade without disassembly?
What a great video thanks!
How do I set it for auto
Anyone ever drill a small hole in bottom to assist draining?
Do you know the model number of this window AC unit in this video?
This is the same Frigidaire AC unit that I have. It is model number FHWW153WBE
My unit’s Model No is “FFRE18L3Q2”. I’m sure there are other model #s that are based on this design.
