Greetings all. "Watch my Review" has a video up showing how they fixed the lightbleed issue on their unit with the repalcemenr screen and cover that Anbernic sent them. You can have a look at it here if you are in the same sitution: ruclips.net/video/yRxwm3qgFTc/видео.html. Also TheGammaSqueeze released a fix for the cardinal direction snapping on the analog sticks that can be applied over the most recent OTA firmware update from Anbernic. That is if you do not want to wait for them to come out with a fix. You can check out the gudie here: github.com/TheGammaSqueeze/Bootloader_Unlock_Anbernic_T820/releases/tag/analog_fix (It is quite technical though and can apparently casue you to brick your device so only proceed with this if your comfortable with the level of risk and technical expertise required)
I just saw this video, well.. i just got mine Anbernic RG Cube and i love it , had a lot of fun and comfortable device for hours of use. Compare to my other RG35XXSP , both very fun machine, but i still prefer the cube, is the screen and the performance is great , cube, 3DS , 3DO , Saturn, PS2 ,, ran great ,, my concern is that Anbernic release new devices too quickly and now the RG40XX H , and i believe is a bit lower end processor then the cube. Again, i recommend the RG Cube, Great performance and Great Battery life. this can be my 2nd best hand held after my no.1 - Odin 2 , then my Retroid Pocket 3+ as 3rd ,
Awesome, Glad to hear that you didn't get one with problems on the screen. It does look like a spectacular device if you don't have any of the issues I mentioned. And yes Anbernics release schedule is a bit Crazy. The RG40XX does have a less powefull processor than the cube in fact it is the same processor than the RG35xxSP so you don't really have a reason to get it if you have a SP already unless you like that form factor. Thanks for the feedback it is much appreciated 😁
Doesn't seem worth it to me for the price point and risk of bleed screen, in Australia it's $300 can get a switch for that price or even a tablet more powerful and then use a bluetooth controller. The RG35XX SP or that range on the other hand is at the sweet spot for price an performance at $116 but you do miss out on Gamecube/PS2 Emulation but I play gamecube on my samsung A9+ tablet which was $280 with PS5 controller. They release these so frequently I think next years models will shine and maybe be able to play switch competently too. Loving the RG35XX SP for the time being.
Yep the price does depend on which country you are in, Im from South Africa and after import tax the Cube's older brother the 556 is aroung $360-$400 here depending on where you buy. Ive been wondering why people don't just use their phones to play games as most phones are very powerful . All i can think is that it comes down to the pocketablility and convenience of devices like the SP and the 35xxH. With a phone and controller it takes up space and takes time to get setup. Devices like the before mentioned are more pick up and play. Of course there is some nostalgia attached if you owned something like a gameboy when you were younger aswell i guess. Thanks for watching and for the feedback.
@@TheTechUpdate-ui1fh Yeh exactly since it runs androids a phone is much more powerful but I can see people not wanting to use phone tho I personally hate using my phone :P but a tablet would be a better investment for people as its more versatile can use it for lots of things an bigger screen then this device in my opinion. You are right it's nostalgia and pick up and play that's why I bought the RG35XX SP it just feels good to play the old gameboy games on it rather then on PC/Tablet/Phone :D I am waiting for a affordable device that runs everything up to switch to replace my switch so I can have a library of old games on same device for pick up and play. Hopefully in time.
@@SYNC420 awesome. Wanted to get a Bluetooth controller for my phone over Christmas but my wallet said no 😜. I can see how a tablet with a bigger better quality screen can make a awesome device to game on. Gonna get one of these handhelds as soon as I can. Think I would prefer the 35xxh or possibly the 40 xxh if the reviews on it are good. Would love an Odin 2 though or a Lenovo legion go but those are a bit out of my price range at the moment.
@@TheTechUpdate-ui1fh I bought a second RG35XX SP its coming this week as a back up system cause i been playin it all week an love it lol scored it for $80 on ebay off someone who didnt like the clickiness of the buttons :P I want the legion GO so bad but again its $1300-$1400 id rather get a laptop with 4060 for that price and usecontroller. The odin 2 mini looks promising as well as the AYANEO Pocket S but need to sus the performance more.
@@SYNC420 Glad to hear that ypou are enjoying the SP so much. Never owned a gameboy but i gotta say looking at the review video's got me so excited i made 2 video's on it, lol. I agree with you on the crazy price of the legion Go, i just love the idea of the detachable controllers, Tried it at an expo we have hear and i really loved it. I think the Pocket S is awesome but a bit overkill at the moment. Doesn;t seem like there is any emulators on Android that can challenge the Snapdragon Gen 3 chip as yet, That may change but it rather wait for that change before buying it. Rather go with the Odin 2 if could, still plays everything the S does at less cost.
Hi There, that is Star Wars Rogue Squadron for the Nintendo64. Haven't played much of it as yet but both this one and its successor Rogue Squadron 2 for the game cube look like excellent games. Thanks for watching.
