Took my PCR on an impromptu trip to the range after work tonight. I cannot even convey how much I really love this pistol. It is just an amazing pistol that conceals as well it shoots.
I dont conceal carry, yet. But the PCR does carry naturally, points and shoots like a dream. Much better than any stick glock that I've run. Only my opinion. I've stabled the G19 wnd now only carry the PCR and a 3" .357.
I wanna thank you for your fantastic reviews I have overlooked CZ for a while. No longer I just purchased CZ p09 40 and the gun has made me a believer very high quality and no failures after 1000 rounds very accurate. Thanks brother!!!
The PCR is a great pistol, I have this one and it is one of my favorites for sure! Very accurate, feels great in hand, decocker is great, loaded round indicator is nice too and also the serrated trigger is nice. That rubber grip is awesome for carry as well. Mine has been 100% reliable. CZ makes possibly the best 9mm's in the world, in my opinion. I have many of their pistols and they're all very solid and accurate.
@Hank Powell; having shopped for all those opts as well the
Cz 75 D PCR is the absolute complete package. And very Rare, was a very lucky find. Glade that the decision process was a done deal.
Do you think there better than Berreta?
@@alrodriguez7496 for people with smaller hands. Absolutely
Carried this same gun for 10 years... Absolutely love it! Most accurate gun I've shot straight out of the box. 3" groupings at 15 yrds...
Hope you lot still around 3” at 15yards- even after prime around there is goood
@@davidjeske1225what??
I bought the 75 Compact (safety, no decocker) and I love it. Anyone that is on the fence about a CZ really needs to pull the trigger. I've shot a P-07, SP-01, a 75B, and I own a 75 Compact.. All of them have been incredible guns.
+1
Aneesh Sompalli Also try Turkish CZ platform guns you will also like them like SAR b6p I saw they selling for 274$ at the budsgunshop
CZ is the best 9mm in the world when you factor in price, quality, reliability, gun for the money...
Should I buy a steel 75B compact or this PCR?
@@akrivosdiavolos73 You think it's better then the Berreta?
started watching because i have an interest in CZ's and the whole 17min of the video you kept me interested and eyes/mind open. Nice vid man.
Got my PCR a few days ago. Beautiful pistol, great ergonomics , comfortable and accurate shooter. Thanks for the video, I enjoy your channel.
CZs Are Handguns Best kept Secret.. In my opinion.
KJ guitarman best on the market, hands down
Agreed
ooooh yeah
@K.J guitarman
Could not agree more. CZ 75D PCR.
Absolutely 💯
Just bought one of these and it is my favorite pistol. Feels absolutely amazing!
This is my favorite review out of all your reviews . I like it so much I bought a CZ 75D PCR 9mm and your right I feel inlove with it . Now I am a CZ fan forever . Thank you so much Sootch00 God Bless You
I finally got my hands on a PCR last month. I went in to my local shop and had them order one and the guy told me that it could take months before they could get one. Two weeks after they ordered it, I got a call that it had come in and was I shocked at how fast their supplier was able to get one and to have it in my hands. I am very happy to have this CZ in my collection!
I picked up mine last Friday and took it to the range right away. From the moment I held it in the shop to the first five rounds I shot for my first grouping...I was completely and utterly amazed! What a comfortable grip! What a pistol! I've even set my G19 aside, nothing against the Glock I love it. Yet for conceal carry, it feels too blocky and I always felt self-conscious when carrying it, like the printing was too obvious. The CZ75D PCR, for me at least, defeats that. It feels so comfortable when carrying that I'm able to enjoy my days out without worrying about printing. Its fun to shoot and great to have with for everyday carry. Thanks ***** for such a great review! Keep up the good work!
This video had an influence on my second CZ purchase, the P-01 (currently my favorite gun), and hinted at my future quest for the CZ "Unicorn", the 2075 with de-cocker in 9mm. I love CZs.
I've had my pcr for a year now and love it. The safe half decock thing to reduce ur double action pull is really unique too.
I found this review after I brought home my CZ75 D (PCR) and I have a long deep seeded love for the CZ75 and now I have one I can carry, I pulled my old Galco Royal Guard model RG250 holster out of my closet and it fits like a glove. Bonus: Mine came new in the box from my local gun shop and it had 2 CZ factory mags labeled “.40 12” round on one side and “9mm 15” round on the other!!!
Just bought the CZ PCR! Wow!! By the way, the trigger action doesn't need to be "fixed" but I'm sure it can be improved. Thank you for your great reviews. They are among the best on RUclips. I really enjoy your presentations.
Great review, my local gun store just got a small batch of this handgun, so right after watching this review I'm running to get one of these. Thank you very much Mr Sootch00 for your hard work God bless you.
Ive always loved your reviews on guns, you explain the basics without sounding like you're talking down to newbies good strong speaking voice and very concise with your thoughts about it.
I am a CZ fan. Just got the CZ75 compact. What a great gun. Conceals really well, cocked and locked.
CZ has come a long way and are one of the most wanted firearms today.
With no disrespect to any one but I have to tell you guys out there . BEST GUN IS CZ OR CZ PLATFORM GUNS These guns are just something sexy accurate and feels good man .
Paper Cut
Old comment but true as can be.
CZ's have it all.
Reliability is 99.99999%
Ergonomic Perfection
Accuracy Excellence
Sexiness 10/10
Price is right.
You just can't go wrong.
I think the only 1 of the main models I don't back 100% is the Phantom. But even that gets minimal complaints from me. I just don't like the grip or the fact that you can't change them out. The sights are a little annoying, and the trigger isnt that great, although I haven't shot more than 500 rds through it. I might trade it in for a P10 or put it towards a Scorpion.
E Dogg Funny enough, I feel the exact same way. The phantom is the only CZ I've ever touched that I didn't fall in love with. I have every urban grey model except the sp01 and every single CZ I have touched or shot has been amazing. I actually own 1 pistol that ISN'T a cz variant out of the 8 that I own. Shot my 1st CZ, got rid of everything I owned to welcome in CZ variants. Couldn't be happier with em.
U R very right
Hipster alert
Hey Sootch , I finally got a CZ 75 D PCR , and you’re not kidding what an outstanding handgun , and yes it was difficult to come by ! I could’ve went through Gun Broker but the fees and shipping were more than I wanted to spend but I finally snagged one at my local dealers and I’m totally stoked with its function and accuracy! 👍🏻🇺🇸!
Love your reviews, very detail and to the point. I've own this same pistol for 6 months and love it. I find the trigger to be good from factory, no adjustments needed after cycling trigger after 200-300 times between range and snap cap. DA is smooth and single is predictable; some travel on SA but not bad. Not gritty at all very smooth
Wow! Now THAT is how you review a gun. Great job!
I agree the factory trigger is very nice, no creep and predictable. At first bit heavy DA but after 100 rounds through it, butter smooth like you said. The only thing change out was steel guide rod from ghost custom shop. Glad I didn't buy glock 19 and decided on this. Love it!!!!
I have the CZ 75 DB, the full size decocker model. I too found that there is a little trigger creep and that it was gritty, however after about 500 rounds it was smooth as butter. I've now put about 1500 rounds through it and it is my favourite pistol to shoot. The fit and feel in the hand is superior to either my Sig P226 or my 92FS. I love all three but the CZ just fits in the hand better than anything.
I've owned a CZ 85 since 1989 and it's been my favorite semi auto pistol of all time. Accurate, never failing and relatively cheap...in 1989 anyway. Thanks for the review, now I want another one!
I own a CZ PCR as well as a 75B and a RAMI. I also own a fine set of aging eyes which makes it difficult for me to see the alignment lines that make it possible to field strip these pistols. Eventually, learned that when the hammer is in the half-cock position and the slide is moved to the rear until it just barely touches the hammer, the lines are perfectly aligned. Now, I could strip the pistol with my eyes closed, but I don't. CZ's are just too pretty not to look at!
Joker Toker I know you didn’t ask me but I prefer the PCR. But I’ve got big gorilla mitts. So the rami is a little small for me.
great review like how you point out all the details...and your unbiased, this is my next buy👍
Thank you for the artful and professional review. I have medium hands, so I went just to check one out a few days ago (at a shop that only had one). It felt "right" immediately (better for me than Glock and various Sigs 320, 226 etc.) Well sculpted, light, all metal, excellent fit and finish. I've had only 125 rounds (147 grain) through it, but it was smooth firing and I had groupings better than my long time carry. I was very comfortable with the trigger pull and break. Accuracy is superb. I installed some Truglo sights for easier pickup, and this pistol has become my favorite. Nice review.
Just picked one up at my local shop. I was looking for a SP01 Tactical, but couldn't pass this one up. Most comfortable grip I've held. Can't go wrong with CZ75.
I have a CZ 83 and I happened to find a CZpcr and it felt so good to hold, perfect in the hand. I liked everything about it. Did some more research, went back and it was gone. Held the all steel, too heavy, still want the de cocker. The PCR is everything I was looking for, all ready to trade in and trade up. Even if I have to order one.
Beautiful firearm. I love cz quality. I hope to find one to replace my glock 23 for edc . Enjoy your reviews. Keep up the good work !
This is a great gun, all you said is true. The first day I got it, just went to the range and fired 200+ rounds and no FTF no FTE , no hiccups, nothing. Just nice shooting and its so precise you would not believe it. I have tried and own them all, Glock ,Sprinfield , Para, Sig ,Beretta, Kimber, Colt , you name it and this is my carry gun. I dont know why some people complain about the trigger weight in double action, because it is actually nice and when you carry it, you carry it on the half cocked position which is not all the way the double action weight on the trigger.i was making less than half inch groups at 21 feet, about an inch at 45 feet and a little less than 3 inches at 75 feet. And that was out of the box the first day. I can not say enough good things about this gun. My next CZ would be a SP-01. Thanks for your great review.
Joe Smith unless you need to have a rail id suggest the sa!
I've owned my CZ 40-P (40S&W) for about 20 years and have never been disappointed with it. This compact will be in my gun safe soon.
Really thorough review- thanks- I'm new to the CZ world but have narrowed it down to this one or the PO1. Looks like the PCR is the way to go for me.
Great job!
Thank you for an informative video. Bought a CZ 75B and loved it so much I bought a used CZ 97. Was disappointed that 97 had plastic guide rod, so contacted CZ and they sent me chrome one and extra brushes.
Picked up my PCR the other day, after 10 day wait, took her to the range, 120 rounds, zero hiccups, and it’s a tac driver..my trigger is black, so is the barrel..it’s my fave gun already
I love mine, came across it by accident and took a chance and bought it. It was the right choice to add to my collection. Thanks, great video.
I took your advise we went to a local gs and they had one in the case and I was sold when I held it and this is by far the best shooting for me.
Thanks for doing this review, this is my first and only pistol, I've owned for about a year now and I've shot 2000 rounds through it. I love it. I had CZ custom do a trigger job, lighten the hammer spring slightly and add a competition hammer as well as a P-01 style trigger and some nice wood grips. It is my concealed carry gun. Again thanks for this review, there were only one or two on RUclips that were very good.
I just bought one. Never owned a nice handgun before (I had a high point given to me a couple years ago. And that’s all I’ve owned) and this thing was AMAZING I am so glad I bought it.
Love, love, love my PCR!! You are right, they are extremely hard to find..so I bought the first one I ever saw to go with my SP01.. LOL. The PCR basically a P01 without the front rail and with the chamber indicator. CZ pistols are highly underrated in my opinion.
Always a good job on the intros and of course your have the best reviews on yt!
Just got one myself a couple of months ago. I love it!
Thank you for your diligence in mentioning the P-210. That series sig (P-220) was also the first to use the ejection port and cam-block lock up that Glock and most all pistols designed since use.
Gonna need one of these. I held one in the local gun store a couple of weeks ago. Felt as comfortable in my hand as a Browning Hi Power.
My favorite handgun of all time is my CZ75B. It’s amazing that you can get an all steel handgun for less than a Glock 17. For a nice CZ75 compact copy I would check out the Tristar C100. I think I paid $340 for mine brand new. As you mentioned in the review the full size magazines work well. I use those as range mags
Mine is coming on next Tuesday. I can't wait. These videos are driving me crazy.
The PCR and SP01 are really wonderful and accurate pistols. I own both. Both tac drivers and high quality. Never a malfunction and very dependable.
Sooch00, yer right, these are hard to come by. All out of stock in my local area.
BTW your costing me a lot of money these last few years making me buy guns that I didn't know I needed thanks to yer amazing detailed reviews..... DOHHHH!!!!
go to guns international then look up d&l hunting in rhode island, just bought one from them online and they had a few on sale at the time.
Picked up one 3 weeks ago along with a P07 9mm after watching this video. I shoot the PCR muuuuch better. Gave that one to my son. Keep up the good work!
I know this is a 8 year old video but nevertheless I just turned 21 and I bought my first CZPCR compact thank you for sharing your honest thoughts about it currently I love mine and has served me well
Best reviews out there !Thanks Sootchoo
Great video! Local pawn has one, im working on. So hard to find pre-owned. Been wanting one for YEARS but “luck” just hasnt been on my side. Thanks for such a detailed attention KEEPING production
Owens, I can't agree more with you. CZ are awesome guns, for price bracket there is nothing comes close to looks and quality. I am just glad that look into CZ before heading down glock road. Can't just have one, my collection now stands at 3. SP01 shadow TGT, 75B SS, and PCR all 9mm. Love them all especially shadow but that's totally modified gun. Love how slim and ease handling. I don't feel like fumbling with pistol when grabbing it, just fits.
I really love this guy when he reviews a gun, very detailed and clear.you wont fall asleep.😄😄😄
Thank for another great review Scootch.
Love my PCR, best semi I've carried. Thanks again
Great review! This video helped convince me to finally pick up a PCR earlier this year! Being off-roster (no retail) in Califronia, they are even harder than usual to come by here and I'm glad I snagged one when I did.
I agree with all points in this review, though I'm still getting used to manipulating the reduced slide area compared to my Sigs.
The CZ 75 Compact garners a whopping 50% amongst my close friends who carry.
My pistol for EDC is the CZ P07 Duty. I just love the Omega trigger and the pistols ergonomics.
Next pistol on my wish list is the CZ 2075 RAMI.
As you rightfully said you are just not going to go wrong with a CZ. :-)
What's better 75 compact or p07? Interesting that p07 weighs slightly more but is polymer
Filled out the paperwork for my PCR today. Great video!
I have this gun for yrs and its a keeper. But. These come w strong recoil spring which keeps it from functioning w plinker ammo. I obtained, installed lighter spring for range work and different extractor spring as well. They're cz specialized smiths that can do awesome additions if you like.
you do a great job !!!! I can see the mechanical attributes to this gun. Impressive.
Been carrying CZ’s for over 25 years and they are they best handguns that so many Americans don’t know.
I chose this for my everyday carry gun (Vedder Holster Kydex...rocks). Built like a tank. Spot on accurate because of weight and low bore axis. Balaced and accurate...wow. I replaced the control rod (OEM is polymer) with a steel one from Cajun Gunworks. Also replaced the firing pin with an extended pin from CZ Custom, the pin block spring which cleans up the trigger even further and the firing pin retaining pin with a rolled pin also from CZ Custom (DON’T do the solid pin option...voids your firing pin warranty). There is talk of problems with fractures in the firing pin retaining pin, but so far so good and they cost $2 to replace. Keep a couple handy...don’t dry fire without snap caps.. Per the video, it is one tight gun. Prefer a lobster claw to rack as overhand can be hit or miss. Requires a modicum of violence...lol. My wife can barely rack it at all, but it cycles fast and furious under fire. And did I mention it was accurate (last trip to the range 30 rounds centert (ish...my wife fit her fist through the hole) out of 30 rounds at 7 yards w/ tactical reload). Double tap center mass to head drills...30 rounds at 5 yards...3 shot bursts from low ready w tactical reloads with PAR times set at 3 seconds...no misses, no malfunctions. It’s heavy for a carry, especially if you like those guns made out of the stuff they make tic tac boxes out of...but man does it help with recoil control. That low bore axis...brilliant...damn. Get you some. You’ll totally freak out the spray and pray Glock kids with their Nathan’s hot dog length extended magazines.
By far my favorite gun! Feels great in the hand and shots dead nuts!
Very good review and love your videos. Only mod I did was change out plastic guide rod with SS and #14 spring from ghost custom shop.
I have the CZ P01 which is the railed version. Over 5k rounds with no problems even in defensive classes. I use Froglube since I got it with no issues. I did install a 16lb Wolfspring hammer spring to reduce the weight of the DA pull and installed a Cajun Gun Works Kit 4 Hammer kit to make the SA trigger pull nice and crisp at 3.5lbs. Also been using a Bladetech OWB holster for classes. Been great.
I just bought one today at the SGK Gun Show in Hampton Virginia for $509, I bought the full size CZ 75 BD Police Model a few weeks ago and love it. I am now a true fan of CZ.
I also bought the CZ 75BD Police a few months ago. Now I want the P-09 in .40. I hear that the Omega trigger system is a nice improvement on the old system. I just hope they make a threaded barrel version soon, cause that's what I'm waiting for.
8literbeater I plan to send my PCR off to have the custom trigger job and polishing done by Angus with CZ-USA.
***** I picked up the Take-Down version of the 10/22 earlier this year. I am pleased with it.
You got two good guns there, I have them both too and love them.
just found your channel as recommendation, best gun reviews I have seen
I'm getting mine with the SA/DA trigger removed and a SAO straight trigger with a 3# pull..... so excited. compact with a safety.
I've fired one of these, and it is a beautiful machine. I highly recommend it. Some Academy stores have them.
I have waited for you to do a video with the Compact, thanks man!
Comparable to CZ75 Compact are the Tristar 100 models. Same alloy frame, style & design is the C100. Steel frame P100.
Alloy frame in a jericho style slide is the T100. Tristar made by Canik and saves you about $125. I still want a CZ too
I have to say i own both the cz 75 compact pcr and a glock 19 3rd gen, and i love them both for different reasons. The CZ is buttery smooth and fits the hand like a glove, while glocks are not ergononic at all. But to take a CZ past a field strip it requires some punching out of roll pins. and all in all is a bit harder to break down completely to clean it to my standards. Also, i love the stock 3 dot sights on the CZ. That being said, I like shooting my CZ more, but i can keep my glock much cleaner. Both guns run very reliable for me.
I took me 3yrs of watching this video and ones like this to get into a cz and like when I bought my first sig it is officially on
This review sold me on this pistol as my first handgun ever purchased. Thank you for your expert analysis of this gun. I've since shot 1,000 rounds and its exactly as advertised. Thank you for your work here.
The trigger can be made better with some polishing and a few spring changes. My son and I took about six hours one night. And the results were incredible. My son, of course, did most of the work. He is studying aerospace engineering. I would have never started it by myself. But anyone could do it. It just takes time. Great pistol. Thanks for the review.
Just bought one Tampa gunshow fourth Cz love them. They had just about every CZ and saw pcr for 549 sold.
Forgot to comment that yes ergo is super!!! Just love the feel of pistol and points so naturally. I also own Ruger SR9c and although same size nowhere near the feel of the CZ
Sold! (Even though it was not your intention). Shot friend's 75D last week and had to lower it few times in disbelief, how accurate and easy on follow up shots it was, even in first DA pull. Ergonomics are superior.
Excellent review, thanks a lot!
Wow! Ten years ago. It's unbelievable how time flies.
This guy & hickok45 are just the best but you make the best gun reviews for sure 😎👍
Just saw one for the first time today at a local gun store. It felt great in the hand and was actually a lot lighter than I was expecting. I think the compact D wants to come home, so he can hang out with his bigger bro CZ 75 BD.
Just put this same pistol on layaway today, and it will be my first firearm purchase as well. Super stoked about it, al little disappointed because no picatinny for light, but just couldn't get over those ergonomics. DAT PISTOL!!
The PCR was the first pistol I ever bought. Over 5,000 rounds through it flawlessly. Absolutely love mine
Thanks for the review and recommendation Sooch00! Just got my CZ 75 PCR from Cajun Gun Works w/ the Pro Package. This is a great gun.
Nice presentation. A comment on the breakdown procedure: I noticed that my new CZ 75 D compact slide stop was so tight that when I pressed the magazine butt against it to push it out, the pin actually put a slight dent in the magazine. I find that the hard rubber handle of a screwdriver or similar item works well to break the stop loose. There was an audible pop when the slide stop broke free.
Instantly recognizable, historically impeccable, imminently shoot-able. Proud owner of a CZ.
Bought one as my first auto, flawless break in, more accurate than I am, and I feel safe with the decocker and first shot behind a double action trigger pull. I would recommend it for wheel gun aficionados who want to try an auto for carry.
That's me. Wheel gun rich over here, and my friends won't shut up about getting a semi auto. Just stumbled upon this one. Nice
Ken Waller Love it for the range. Feel like Im getting away with something paying 12 bucks for 50 rounds, but still carry the wheelie.
Love this gun!! All 75 series!❤
Great video, like always!👍🍺🍺
I bought an SP-01 a couple years back. If this gun was available at the time I would've bought it instead. What a great little gun.
I have shot one of these. Outstanding and feels great. Extremely comfortable. I like the P06 a little better and it has a acc rail.
Just picked one up [been waiting myself for one]. Got the PCR with the Aluminum, frame in the de-cocker variant. The only mod, is that I went with the thinner, aluminum grip panels from CZ. While the stock rubber grip is very nice, I wanted to slim the gun and grip even further. Thanks for all your great reviews, and your patriotic sign-off. Great stuff!
Already have the RAMI BD thanks to your freaking video on that one. My local gun shop just got one of these in one consignment! Dang it!!!!
I just picked one of these up with an upgraded trigger and night sights for $450. I think it was a steal and can't wait to see if it performs well enough to become my new carry handgun
Sootch you're awesome love the videos, I have an 02 Cz 75d pcr with a black trigger and the inside if my frame isnt grey but all black. And the "gun in circle" stamp is in front of the CZ75 D compact roll stamp on left side of the slide . Usually see them behind the stamps
Great video sootch... I was curious if you had any experience with the mecgar mags for this gun? Thanks for reviewing the pistol.. Its nice...
I just fired one of these today as a rental on a whim, and I must say, it is a champ. I've been a die-hard Sig man for many years, and I think I just found a new favorite toy. It barely has any kick, and it runs smooth as butter (maybe a bit better than my 229, shh!) The range officer said these are hard to come by, too. I'm officially on the prowl. Thanks for the review!
Look at Damascus gun shop online, they have a great selection of CZ's and are awesome people to deal with. Talk to Michael or Aaron and they will treat you very well. I've bought several CZ's from them and have been very pleased with their responsiveness and their selection.
Great video. I would like to compare one of these to a CZ P07. But as you said, they are not easy to find. Thanks!
