Fahnen aufhängen in Ennest - Corona Schützenfest 2020

Auch wenn das Schützenfest in Ennest dieses Jahr nicht wie gewohnt stattfindet, werden trotzdem die Fahnen hochgezogen und das Dorf mit den Wimpeln geschmückt.
Ob Jung oder Alt, alle sind dabei wenn es darum geht dieses Tradition zu wahren.

A Schützenfest (German: [ˈʃʏtsn̩ˌfɛst], marksmen's festival) is a traditional festival or fair featuring a target shooting competition in the cultures of Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland. At a Schützenfest, contestants compete based on their shooting abilities, for example by shooting at a wooden representation of an eagle. The winner of the competition becomes the Schützenkönig ("king of marksmen") until the next year's competition. Yes I also watched the 2019 festival where Willi Kamp won and was paraded though town and to a hall where he was praised like he killed the fire breathing dragon that threatened all the townspeople. Love that people are able to enjoy beer openly in public
