i love this style of videos since I'm more of a visual learner. It is also not boring because the drawings are bright and cute. Thank you for this! It made studying histopathology a little more fun.

The aim of fixative in histopatthology is to keep the tissue as much as is possible in its natural state without degradation by either autolysis which is the destruction of tissue by its own enzymes or putrefaction the destruction of tissue by bacteria.

Very good video... but you missed a part in fixation.... i.e we use a different fixative for bones.... like for bone marrow.... we use nitric acid for decalcifaction..... I know part of cytology.... it is necessary..... bt your video is awesome update more... I learned a lot

This was great! I just bought a microscope for my 9 year old son and was looking for information on how to permanently mount slides. This video is perfect. I bought him some dissection kits(frog, earthworm) and was hoping to makes a tissue library from samples taken from the specimens. Very informative video. Thank you.

Fixative is used to fix and harden the tissue just because of if the tissue is left soft we can't cut 3to5 micron in microtome .
And sir DPX is dibutylipthalate polystyrene xylene

Nice video but mounting is not the tissue processing method..fixation is under tissue procrssing method bcz we use formalin jar in automated tissue processing ..not moutning media..thanks👍
