    Thing is rad! I’m in the process of turning my 22 XRS into a pro stock car. I dream of one day having a pro turbo car like this. So damn nice! And thanks for the video! I learned a lot. That AIM system is rad

      That’s awesome to hear! We love this sport and it’s always good to see more people getting involved in it. What series will you be doing when your car is done? Let me know if you have any other questions, we’ll be happy to help.

      Thank you! Appreciate you stopping by to see the video often. I found some even better ones than those in the video from McMaster Carr. They’re more expensive but hold up a lot better than those others from Amazon. Check the the link below to see them. How’s your build coming along?

    outstanding video
    Can you tell me anything more about the quick release pins for the clutch cover? I haven’t seen anything like that in a kit, what’s the spec on them? Or a link? Awesome idea, really want to replicate on my car.
    Thanks! 19:20

      Thank you, we try to share all of the little tricks we’ve learned over the years of racing. I’ll put the link below from Amazon. I can’t remember at this moment how long they are but I can verify when I get home tonight. If I remember right, they’re 20mm or 25mm long but I’ll double check for you.

    Great video! Very nice car! Did you reinforce your rear trailing arm pivots on the chassis? I've been hearing it's a weak spot. Thanks!

    • @dustycrewracing
      @dustycrewracing  Год назад +1

      Yes, it is a weak spot and Lonestar Racing has the fix for it with some gussets that they sell. Call them directly and they can get you setup 🤌🏼

    Hello, how big of an improvement is the ST Race Rack from the OEM rack with Hess Support Brace (percentage wise)? How many race miles did you get before experiencing more play in the steering wheel with the ST rack or how many race miles do you get between ST rebuild? Would you go back to the OEM rack with Hess Brace for any reason?

    • @dustycrewracing
      @dustycrewracing  2 года назад +2

      For the racing that we do, the ST rack makes a difference. Much more stout but we did have very good luck with the Hess brace. It kept those stock units together very well. With the Hess brace we went through 2 racks in 4000+ race/practice miles.

    Stock front diff hold up?

    • @dustycrewracing
      @dustycrewracing  Год назад +1

      Yes and no. In my opinion, the Smart Lock isn’t as durable as the Visco lock but we do put a lot stress on them and ask a lot of them in the desert.

    How do you like the LSR suspension? I want it for my machine but it’s pricey. 2K more over HCR kits but for me I feel like it would be so much more stronger and the backing of LSR is what makes me want it over HCR even though it cost more, I’d have to save more but if it’s worth it then I’m going for it.

    • @dustycrewracing
      @dustycrewracing  Год назад +1

      I haven’t every owned HCR product before so I can’t speak on it but I can tell you the LSR stuff is incredible. We put the entire kits through hell and back but it just keeps working like a dream! It is more expensive than most but you get what you pay for IMO. You wouldn’t be disappointed because the majority of workers at LSR (including Dan Fisher the owner) race or have raced at a high level. This shows in their products. The wife and I couldn’t be happier with LSR.
