California Garden Tours: Carlsbad Flower Fields & Descanso Gardens 4K

Join me for a tour of two amazing California gardens this week as we visit the Carlsbad Flower Fields and Descanso Gardens. Remember to be respectful when viewing flowers, especially delicate wildflowers. Don’t trample, pick or disturb plants by straying off designated trails. Parking may be difficult, if not impossible to find, especially on weekends, so pack your patience and your sunscreen.
Carlsbad Flower Fields outside San Diego are in full bloom right now, with the best display of ranunculus in Southern California and beyond. In addition to the fabulous flowers, there’s plenty of fun for the whole family with Santa’s playground, a sweet pea maze, gold panning, photo opportunities and more. You can also find food and beverages for sale, as well as special events on weekends such as picnics, wine tastings and more.
If you’re near Los Angeles, now is the best time to visit Descanso Gardens before the tulips and cherry blossoms fade. i’ve visited these gardens three times over the last month and have seen a variety of the 30,000 tulips as they first started blooming. When I visited on March 26, the tulips were almost done so it’s time to get there right now.

Carlsbad Flower Fields: Sunset Wine Tasting and Music Friday 6-8 PM: Enjoy an intimate wine experience with Advanced Sommelier Lamar Engel of The Wine Militia featuring premium wines and food bites all paired to songs played by live musical artists. Watch the sun as it sets on 50 acres of ranunculus flowers varying in a myriad of colors as well as originals. $115 each.
