Listening to you play is like sitting on the bank of a beautiful river, and watching it flow gently by, while like with your music, understanding that there are strong undercurrents below the surface. Thanks for more great content.
I just graduated high school this year, and there was this girl I had my eyes on for a lot of high school. This was her favorite song, so I learned it by ear on my guitar to eventually play it for her (coincidentally, her name was also Rebekah). Unfortunately, I couldn't ever come around to playing it to her. She kind of already had her friend group she was constantly caught up in and doing things with, and I was always just kind of "there" for as much as I tried to be. It's not like I was ever let into any group chats or anything. To be honest, it's a miracle I ever got her phone number. I never really felt all that seen by her, but being so young, I recognize the right girl may yet come. And if not, I can be okay with that, too. The greatest thing I've learned lately is how to be okay with the universe's decision for me to be alone, despite how my head sometimes wants otherwise. This song will often bring to surface the few memories I do have of her, the good ones and not so good ones. It was because of her that I even know this beautiful song in the first place. In all reality, Bekah only ever made the effort of reaching out to me one time out of the hundreds of times I started the text conversations. I recognize there are probably dozens of things I could have done differently to develop any kind of relationship, but some ships have sailed, now. I know I will never see her again. And I think that's okay. That aside, thanks for your rendition of this song. It just randomly appeared on my feed, and I'm glad I chose to click it. I played violin for my school orchestras since the 6th grade, and I have it on my bucket list to learn cello, too.
Hi there :) thank you so much for the comment, you seem wise beyond your years. Music has been so helpful for me processing all the human emotions. Even though you’ve said goodbye to bekah, you can still remember her through this lovely tune! I dedicated this to my friend who I don’t get to see very often. He showed it to me during a late night drive in the city and I think of what a beautiful person he is every time I hear it. I wish you the best on your journey and I am hopeful that good things are coming your way!
Hi Bekah, I found your channel through youtube's recommendation a couple of days ago. Somehow so many of the songs you cover here are my favorite songs as well. I've going through the steps of getting over a really toxic relationship and thus I'm currently in a very delicate head space. Your covers honestly have helped bring me so much calm and soothe especially this Cherry Wine cover. Thank you so so much and I hope you'll continue putting on exquisite covers like this. 😄😄

What kind of belt/harness are you using? I can't find anything similar.
It’s called the block strap, I’ve only been able to find it in their site: www.cellostrap.com
This is one the most beautiful things I've ever listened. Where can I get the sheet music for this piece?
Hello! I am glad you enjoyed the video :) I learned this by ear so I do not have sheet music for it.
@@whitewillowstrings That makes it MUCH MORE impressive, you are an extraordinary musician, thank you so much for this.
