I ride a 8.5 board with a little longer wheel base, the fucking awesome deck right now. I am 41 year old. When you see a skate able park, you want to do something inside, instead of watching aside.
Tony Hawk is the goat greatest of all time it's because I saw him at the age of 7 years old at the X Games in 1999 landing the first ever 900 done in competition that I got into skateboarding and now 22 years later not only am I still skateboarding but I now own my own skateboard companies and work in the skateboard community in Dallas Texas for a living all because of me watching Tony Hawk at a young age and wanting to try skateboarding and ending up falling in love with the sport of skateboarding so in away I owe it all to Tony Hawk without seeing him I wouldn't have found my passion in life and be doing what I am passionate about for a living Thank you Tony Hawk
Honestly Tony, I don't know how you rode Trackers for so long. Nothing says Wheel Bite like flexible baseplates. Lifetime Indy Fan. First pair were stage II. Thanks guys.
Rodney mullen I would say is the best as he invented nearly all the skate tricks we know of today including the Ollie, kickflip impossible and many others. Hes like a wizard on the board and still today people can't do some of tricks that he can. But I think Tony hawk is the one that really popularised skating
@@dylanbenadie458 Tony did the same thing on vert and then continued being relevant for another 30 years. I would make an argument that gonz and natas are more important to modern skateboarding than rodney.
I wish these type of "My Indy's" videos would mention more technical aspects of the truck, like the axel spacing to lock in tail slides, or how they are further back on the bolts for more stability and causing more lever action generating more force for pop. Or how certain board combinations can contribute to greater pop due to the physics of the tail on the board to the trucks. I think 100% the trucks you ride define a majority of your style when skating. You see thunder guys getting super tech on rails, venture guys super tech on ledges, Indes super tech on transition and good at everything. Idk just what I've noticed after skating for so long.
Steele Duke I totally agree with you.. I skate venture & I do prefer to skate ledges.. when I first started skating I was riding venture & they use to always break.. then I tried tensors back when they first came out then I went to Indy for a bit & then I came back to venture because I heard they were making them stronger & I’ve always liked the look & feel of venture trucks even the logo is dope..but you definitely got this shit down to a science 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I have a set of indys and a set of thunders depending on the specs of my board and the wheelbase plays a huge role in it and steepness of the kicks etc.. go watch the nine club interview with professor schmitt with PS Stixx
The Independent Titanium's cost the most and of course is the best of the best Aswell with Thunder Titanium's hell i wouldn't complain at all if i got that for free Dope!
I upgraded from 8.25 to 9.75 deck. I use 159 Indies. I bought bones hardcore bushings and they are still too loose. I like super tight trucks. Like mega tight. So tight that when I lean I go on 2 side wheels. What are the hardest bushings on the market that I can buy? Hoping 100a or harder. Any ideas. I weight 95kg
What if all skaters could keep it good like Tony into their 50's. He's proven the next level with age and integrity. I'm not done but 44 is hitting me hard, lazy?
It's kind of ironic that when he was a very skinny little kid in the early 80's he was riding 10 inch wide boards and now as an adult with size 13 shoes he's riding 8.5 boards like most kids ride nowadays..
He's still insanely good with tons of style. Damn, to all my friends who stopped skating in their 30's and early 40's your all a bunch of weenies!

I'll be 30 this august and I was just skating today, age is just a number to some of us
K. Stacks 39 here and back at it after 17 years!! So much fun, feels good to be back!
Don't stop and you won't stop. If you stop, it's very hard to start again
Your profile pic got me lol
Seems like such a kind dude, he is the face of skating like it or not lol.. can’t hate on the man
I wouldnt say face of skating

Andrew Reynolds My Indys next plz
Reynolds is awkward dork
yooooo being 50+ and just throwing a 540 is insane
he have a video landing a 900 being 50 and telling: this is not my last 900, so crazy
It's crazy that he's 52 and he can still do stuff like this. He truly is a legend.
It's really amazing and unbelievable he can still shred a vert ramp at that age. Unprecedented
Goddamn 52 years old and still shredding also I couldn’t imagine setting a whole new complete every 2-3 weeks
It’s crazy Ik theotis beasly sets up a new deck 3 times a week haha
@@boreese2089 That's pretty common, but a new complete is crazy
protect this man at all cost
Dude is still ripping!! Props to Tony Hawk ! Love his humble honesty . 'yeah i skate new trucks and board every 2 weeks' lol
I'm 43. Grew up in the 80's. Tony Hawk is a legend. Not one of the boys, either friends or family growing up with me didn't know the name.

"Old man" would crush all you young bucks LOL
Used to riding unbroken in trucks! Stressing me out
I had a bad phase where I ended up building 8 completes within a couple months. Feels like I'm always riding new trucks now.
I love tony hawk

Uhhh, Keegan Hawk come to the principals office. Lol
Lmao 🤣 so funny
Great video. Even to this day he has never delayed progression. A true icon to skateboarding.

Dont forget Grosso! R.I.P.
THE MAN IS BRUTAL!
i remember tony rode for tracker back in the days witch were my first trucks the ultra lights
The grooves thing is less important than keeping the wheel pinched. But if you're doing that right you'll get the right grooves!!
Look at that 540 he does at probably 8 ft high like its nothing to him 👍still the god👍
I love your products !
A legend!
the master shredding!
Only skates brand new Christmas completes
MUST BE NICE !!
This was only filmed one month ago and he still busts like that 🔥
riding better than ever
Such a legend! Alex Willms for my indys next 🔥🔥🔥
His fined tuned weapon.
Why did that first chord sound like “and justice for all” was going to start playing 😂
That would have been tighter than his trucks lol
The real 🐐❤️🔥
No grooves and super tight, I'd never land anything on that setup.
Landon Parson
He’s going fast
At the start, the text translation quotes Tony saying "These are my entities", instead of "These are my Indy's" (Still works)
Hawk man 💕
