Happy birthday! I am not on the spectrum and get a lot of misinformation about autism so thank you for talking about your experience :)

Happy late birthday Vicky!! I am also autistic and struggle a lot so this helped me to realize I am not alone. I have a problem with loud noises and crowds, every time I go to a social event I take a pill to calm myself down before that event. A funny story I have is when I was outside and my sister was popping balloons with her friends, the moment I heard the balloons pop I bursted into tears and covered my ears, it was not fun. I also have a very hard time processing things because I think too hard about things or just give up too quickly. It’s very hard for me to handle these things because I also have a few more disabilities which doesn’t help but I’m getting through it!! I’m only a twelve year old girl but no matter the age you can still struggle a lot with certain things. I love making kandi and I love to watch your tutorials to help me learn to make them!!! I made a kandi mask with one of your tutorials and it came out great! Have a great day Vicky, stay strong!!! -Jenny

Thank you for sharing that Jenny! Adolescence can be so hard for disabled people. For me it was like, everything was so hard and I was struggling while everyone was telling me that this was the best times of my life and I'd miss it. There is power in knowing you're not alone and there's other people out there struggling too. And it doesn't make you a bad person if you can't do certain things that other people can. Great job on your kandi, I'm happy you enjoy making them! :D

happy birthday !! >_< i think i might be autistic but im scared to tell my parents and family bc i might be ruled off as attention seeking (the only person ive ever told is my sister who agrees she thinks i might be autistic and my dad said he saw it at a young age but ive never been tested) any advice ? any would be appreciated at this point :,]

Thank you! I have listened to the experiences of many autistic people, and it is a realistic concern that people might tell you that you're attention seeking or brush you off. I have heard that some have more success being seriously considered if they compile a list of their autistic traits and results of credible self tests. It's also worth considering what the pros and cons of getting an official diagnosis might be for you and deciding whether you want to pursue that.
