I wish this was 150cm wrapper because.. the smaller bales compared to the 185vc pro means.. transfering more bales.. which eliminates the time saved using this baler.
I think the Fendt Rotana is actually the best one, factoring in transport time saved with the 150 cm bales being vastly superior to square bales, plus the end turner to keep them from rolling away.
Good video thanks for testing that! In my opinion the fastest way in fs22 (realistic with courseplay) is having a big m then a tractor with a square baler and another tractor with a wrapper behind but the cost is much higher. Even better is having a fermenting silo so you don't even need to wrap the bales. In the real world the fast baler is more cost effective for sure, because you need less equipment and less time for changing equipment around.
You can actually put the fastbaler on the back of the mower in the video, no mods needed. Although it seems it only works with a worker, if i do it myself the baler wont work. But thats what i do and it minimizes the work i have to do myself, only need to pickup bales basically.
Okay but what if I don't have good mover and just using front mover with tractor + bailing right behind it. That way I save a lot of time on windrowing and it is faster by percentage
@@farmingwithsteve thanks to you I installed speed baler mod and now I won't need to stop at all, and I can even hire worker. On default balers there is moment between bale going out to wrapping and collecting next one that makes grass stripes on field if you do worker :/
The fastbaler is even slower then a standard round baler that also wraps, but you have to stop each time when a bale is made. Even then you work faster than the FastBaler
did you calculate an average speed? If i swath with the bigm, i can go 10 kph / 6 mph, while a standard Round baler can go 17 kph / 10 mph. And another advantage is that one can make much bigger Round bales, 1,5m instead of 1,25m... And if one does hay or straw, one can even go for 1,8m...
I wish you could turn the wrapping off on the FastBale. I store all my silage bales in a silo, so I don't need wrapping. I haven't found a baler yet that will allow me to keep going (no stopping) while baling. Do you know of anything? EDIT: NM. I actually watched you baling and it looks like square balers indeed don't require stopping. I got one and now have a triple wide mower that swaths on front and a square baler on back of my tractor. AWESOME. So much faster than my previous setup.
still trying to find a situation were bales are usful at all.. compared to anything loose its just more work then useful.. adds unessesary slot uasage as most balers required like 15-20 slots.. its cool for looks but its easier to just use a forg wagon and avoid bales since bales get broken down too before being usful in game. most inputs will gladly take hay straw but refuse bales 100%.. so theres a bale but it cant be used. i cant put it into production i cant put it in a cow farm that wouldnt take hay or grass bales.. they took loose grass and hay though. bales really seem to be pointless. (in game)
Yeah I was using this with a 14 meter wide KUHN windrower on a fully fertilized field - not even rolled and my average top speed is 2-3 MPH. But with the auto swath from the Vicon mower set (mod) the width is about 10M meters, and the swatch is not at large, it can go about 5-6 working speed..
I miss the mods that was made in 17 & 19, had a square baler that could be driven at 30 kph and it insta wrapped the bales for silage, could do massive fields in no time.
What's your preffered method to wrap silage?

Vicon Fast Bale, but it is tedious.

Really? I gotta give that a try.
Sounds quite interesting. Must give it a try sometime. Thanks.
Great video. 👍
Just wondering but why did you not turn in swath dropping on the Big M mower? You could have just skipped the need to windrow it.
I forgot, lol.
Nice vid! Also your voice reminds of Roger Clark a little bit (voice actor from RDR2)
It’s weird because in the store it says it works at 17km but the fastest I’ve gone with it while working is only 9km
Okay but what if I don't have good mover and just using front mover with tractor + bailing right behind it. That way I save a lot of time on windrowing and it is faster by percentage
I've never tried that method, but it sounds like a very efficient way of doing it. I will need to try it sometime.

A triple width front mower that swaths?? I didn't know that existed! Which one is that?
What silo can you store bales in?

I guess it's convenience over stop start 😊
When I try to wrap my grass bales it says bale is not supported
Hi, It's most likely due to bale size. The wrapper can't take all sizes unfortunately.
how do u get the fast baler? is it a mod or a dlc?
