Ahh memories, like when they had the story of the kids dying in the sewers that were playing d&d , I remember my mom hearing about that and thinking omg that's what my kid is playing??!! Had to have been in the mid 80's or there bouts. I was 20 in 1979...and when that book came out a few years later, even I found the gigantic monstrosity that was gripping the maidens hand while these pulsating protuberances were thrusting towards her a bit.... disturbing. 🌚 These first editions are going for $500 + now on eBay. Go figure.

Probably the easiest way to escape Demogorgon is to tell him that his girlfriend has been cheating on him with Demogorgon. When the heads start arguing over who she’s really interested in, you get your wizard to set up their portal spell.
I had a succubus artifact in a campaign worth tying to her mythology. The Velvet Scourge. A Cat-o-nine tails that has velvet cords istead of chains, and the barbs/hooks/weights are carved of precious gems. The handle is actually the tanned penis of a dead demon-lord. If hit by the scourge(+6enchantment), it deals 6d4+6+str bonus of NON-TYPED DAMAGE as in no resisting/immunity. Also, will save at DC10+ half the damage taken. If failed, target collapses in a state of.... um... catharsis! Yeah! We'll call it that! Also, unless they make the save by at least 5 points, the damage is actually mistaken for pleasure. Those whom experience the "catharsis" have to make another will save the next round DChalf of damage+5 or feel a longing for the scourges touch. A critical fail causes a permanent case of masochism. Owner of the scourge gains a charisma of +9 (28maximum) but is constantly nudged toward chaos, evil, and sexual addiction by the scourge. Let me know if you folks like the idea. In my campaign, it shook up a party that had grown a bit complacent!

Much of the population of the world believes in mythical things of all types still, and not just something as absurdly obvious as succubi. Hell there is even a "school" for learning how to find fairies. Yes daily I feel disappointed in our species in these things. We have easy access to almost all the collective knowledge of our species at our fingertips now, we refuse to use it, and prefer to live life as though its some kind of magical dream.

A lot, anytime I go within a country nipple of succubi its like turning on the bat signal for creeps. I could just avoid talking about any monster with human style boobs, but, I make the effort.
Since she now lives part-time in the Nines Hells, I wonder how is her relationship with Belial or even her daughter Fierna. Considering their fund for luxure and acts of sexual dominance, does it go beyond their hatred for devil-demon alike? Asmodeus has always done something for his grand plot. Did he welcome Malcanthet to distract the lord of the fourth layer or to test his daughter Glasya? Did Malcanthet change her home for the Nines Hells to enrage Graz'zt since he wants to unite all fiend against the heavens? This is a very intricate move.
Malcanthet, considering how much she hates Graz'zt, would make a good ally of sorts for an adventuring party going after the Prince of Pleasure. Kind of ironic that they hate each other so much, since they're both the most attractive of all the demon lords. Of course, when you consider that Demogorgon is Mal's favorite sex partner, she probably has the most depraved, sickening, vile ideas of what she personally considers "attractive" in a man.

If I were to run a Vs Graz'zt campaign, I think this would make an awesome scenario: Party is investigating something into Graz'zt when they're suddenly captured by Demogorgon's forces and taken to his fortress, so he can do nasty things to them because he's Demogorgon. During their stay, Malcanthet - who has heard they're going after Graz'zt - shows up and says that she knows their goals and offers to help because the very thought of seeing Graz'zt defeated by mere mortals makes her horny to the n-th degree. She then says she'll see if she can't make her boyfriend a little more "reasonable". After all, as the lore states, her biggest turn-on is seeing her enemies humiliated. Cut to the next day and one of Demogorgon's cronies unlocks their prison and says that his master wishes to talk with the party. I leave the rest to the players' imaginations.
The troublesome Succubi posts mostly came from users of the 4chan /x/ board. They've had a new thread going every day for years on succubi summoning, their psychic relationships with succubi, and so forth. It's been four years since you uploaded this video and they're still doing it.
One of my absolute favorite entities. I switched succubi to devils for my game, and placed Malcanthet as the Archduchess of the Fourth. However, she seduced our female ranger who'd made very many bad decisions and was on her way to fight for her life on the 5th layer. After succeeding, our ranger became Archduchess of the 5th and swore loyalty to Malcanthet, with only Asmodeus holding more authority. So, Malcanthet technically rules two layers of my Hells now, making her one of the most powerful beings in the Infernal realms
This is an awesome video AJ. Although, I have yet to see a video of yours that isn't! What suprises me most is that this "lady" didn't catch my attention before now. I love Succubi! I love Incubi more! Already I'm playing with the idea of a Succubus/Marilith hybrid.. That'd be freakin sweet! So basically malcanthet got so beautifull and powerfull by succubus draining other succubuses? This video is something i've waited for & you've given me an idea for a big bad boss/bosses. kind of like the character bo from lost girl - but really going for it. the issue with something like the wraith from stargate, is they can't quite get ahead. and given that succubuses can breed, i can imagine the most hellish pyramid scheme. where the succubus at the bottom are little more than inslaved live stock litterally feeding the sexual gods at the top, where mortals are ruthlessly feed though an already ruthless flesh grinder. maybe a war happening at the top levels of the pyramid aswell, one that cannot be lost. so the only pressure valve is yet more succubus cannibalism. if they get more intelligent aswell, there can be multiple levels of dehumanisation. eat or be eaten, seduce or be seduced, enslave or be inslaved. sex litterally is power in that sense.
*pictures a bunch of adventures aproaching malcanthet to "slay the demon", one of the aventures pulls out a lamp and out comes an efreet. malcanthet summons demogorgan and says "too late." she's not talking to the adventures, currently drowning in succubus by this point.* i suppose she could just "sit" there for days on end summoning infinite succubuses, infiltrating the living day lights out of anything comming up against her, given that they're scentient, they could become extreemly skilled at it, using various magical, alchemical, even psonic means of seeming to be who they're not. all mindless driven by the fear of the results of disobedience, if not just ending up as a snack.
AJ - how hard would it be to get you to organize a playlist or 10? I could easily listen to you describe dragons, ancient evils, demons, undead, devils, and other types of monsters for hours on end while I work my forge or tend my bees.

I was mostly thinking aberrations could use a list next - the dragons & elder evils list are what gave me the idea to ask for more collections - it was wonderful to have an entire afternoon of what would have been sheer tedium (turning steel braid into pattern weld blanks) turned into a trip through what the draconomicon should have been.
I've been think of creating a campaign recently with a heirarchy of demon powers as the BBEGs. I really appreciate you 'lords of ruin' series for inspiration. Orcus and Vecna are good and all, but I like the idea of adding some more unconventional, and more unpredictable, enemies.

I had my players create backup characters that they could use when bored with their primary character. I did that so the gaming could not be totally disrupted by their primary character's death so they had someone who could be "written in" to keep them involved. Their backups were really entertaining albeit dwarfed in power, but helped the story progress more than a mere interruption to revive their former dead character. My campaigns were about shared story, ego was also important but it was clear to ALL that ego was #2 to the collective story. I killed that snowball before the avalanche each time. I am commenting again in this video for one reason, I have a god that has a similar realm in my campaigns... only kind of aberrant and closer to the center and all of The Primes. The Abyssal influence is more AD&D, more deceptively heavenly... more abyssal and thus less aberrant, relatively speaking. Rewiring absolutely everything AD&D in my mind relative to this plane.

Up till 3.5 they were Demons, 4e Made them Devils so Erinyes could fully focus on the whole Evil Angel Warrior deal and Demons could be more brutish. (Though IIRC they also removed "lawful evil" entirely because they claimed it was too often used as just "Smart evil" Or was it they removed Chaotic Evil?) 5e seems to have split the difference by making them Neutral fiends.

I remember when I had a character who was a necromancer fiendlock and she signed on with her real quick. 2 years of campaign later and she had successfully and accidentally seduced Malcanthet that character fell In love with a demon queen of the succubi and also had Malchanthet fall in love with her god that was odd

Considering their fund for luxure and acts of sexual dominance, does it go beyond their hatred for devil-demon alike? Asmodeus has always done something for his grand plot. Did he welcome Malcanthet to distract the lord of the fourth layer or to test his daughter Glasya? Did Malcanthet change her home for the Nines Hells to enrage Graz'zt since he wants to unite all fiend against the heavens? This is a very intricate move.

Malcanthet, considering how much she hates Graz'zt, would make a good ally of sorts for an adventuring party going after the Prince of Pleasure. Kind of ironic that they hate each other so much, since they're both the most attractive of all the demon lords.
Of course, when you consider that Demogorgon is Mal's favorite sex partner, she probably has the most depraved, sickening, vile ideas of what she personally considers "attractive" in a man.
I wonder if Malcanthet is Vesh in Critical Role. It would be interesting if that was the case.
Funny part is the party I'm in for one campaign is actually allied with Graz'zt, so it would be the opposite for us. XD

Party is investigating something into Graz'zt when they're suddenly captured by Demogorgon's forces and taken to his fortress, so he can do nasty things to them because he's Demogorgon. During their stay, Malcanthet - who has heard they're going after Graz'zt - shows up and says that she knows their goals and offers to help because the very thought of seeing Graz'zt defeated by mere mortals makes her horny to the n-th degree. She then says she'll see if she can't make her boyfriend a little more "reasonable". After all, as the lore states, her biggest turn-on is seeing her enemies humiliated.
Cut to the next day and one of Demogorgon's cronies unlocks their prison and says that his master wishes to talk with the party. I leave the rest to the players' imaginations.
"And that's where we'll pick up next session."
She has also hooked up with asmodaus who is grzz's dad.

One of my absolute favorite entities. I switched succubi to devils for my game, and placed Malcanthet as the Archduchess of the Fourth. However, she seduced our female ranger who'd made very many bad decisions and was on her way to fight for her life on the 5th layer. After succeeding, our ranger became Archduchess of the 5th and swore loyalty to Malcanthet, with only Asmodeus holding more authority. So, Malcanthet technically rules two layers of my Hells now, making her one of the most powerful beings in the Infernal realms
I homebrew a class, the summoners that use fire spells and some reskins and can summon among others succubi.

This is an awesome video AJ. Although, I have yet to see a video of yours that isn't! What suprises me most is that this "lady" didn't catch my attention before now. I love Succubi! I love Incubi more! Already I'm playing with the idea of a Succubus/Marilith hybrid.. That'd be freakin sweet! Probably....though that would be a rather hard thing to measure. But then again, it might be a case of "Big Fish in a smaller pond" Slaanesh only having to contend with 3 other Chaos Gods to (sometimes) fend of, and only one other (mostly) hostile dimension to fight.

So basically malcanthet got so beautifull and powerfull by succubus draining other succubuses? This video is something i've waited for & you've given me an idea for a big bad boss/bosses. kind of like the character bo from lost girl - but really going for it. the issue with something like the wraith from stargate, is they can't quite get ahead. and given that succubuses can breed, i can imagine the most hellish pyramid scheme. where the succubus at the bottom are little more than inslaved live stock litterally feeding the sexual gods at the top, where mortals are ruthlessly feed though an already ruthless flesh grinder. maybe a war happening at the top levels of the pyramid aswell, one that cannot be lost. so the only pressure valve is yet more succubus cannibalism. if they get more intelligent aswell, there can be multiple levels of dehumanisation. eat or be eaten, seduce or be seduced, enslave or be inslaved. sex litterally is power in that sense.
*pictures a bunch of adventures aproaching malcanthet to "slay the demon", one of the aventures pulls out a lamp and out comes an efreet. malcanthet summons demogorgan and says "too late." she's not talking to the adventures, currently drowning in succubus by this point.* i suppose she could just "sit" there for days on end summoning infinite succubuses, infiltrating the living day lights out of anything comming up against her, given that they're scentient, they could become extreemly skilled at it, using various magical, alchemical, even psonic means of seeming to be who they're not. all mindless driven by the fear of the results of disobedience, if not just ending up as a snack.

I was mostly thinking aberrations could use a list next - the dragons & elder evils list are what gave me the idea to ask for more collections - it was wonderful to have an entire afternoon of what would have been sheer tedium (turning steel braid into pattern weld blanks) turned into a trip through what the draconomicon should have been.
I've been think of creating a campaign recently with a heirarchy of demon powers as the BBEGs. I really appreciate you 'lords of ruin' series for inspiration. Orcus and Vecna are good and all, but I like the idea of adding some more unconventional, and more unpredictable, enemies.

I had my players create backup characters that they could use when bored with their primary character. I did that so the gaming could not be totally disrupted by their primary character's death so they had someone who could be "written in" to keep them involved.
Their backups were really entertaining albeit dwarfed in power, but helped the story progress more than a mere interruption to revive their former dead character.
My campaigns were about shared story, ego was also important but it was clear to ALL that ego was #2 to the collective story. I killed that snowball before the avalanche each time.
I am commenting again in this video for one reason, I have a god that has a similar realm in my campaigns... only kind of aberrant and closer to the center and all of The Primes.
The Abyssal influence is more AD&D, more deceptively heavenly... more abyssal and thus less aberrant, relatively speaking. Rewiring absolutely everything AD&D in my mind relative to this plane.

In my devil inspired campaign, I just call them devils that are neutral rather than lawful. That way it’s natural for them to cohort with other fiends
Up till 3.5 they were Demons, 4e Made them Devils so Erinyes could fully focus on the whole Evil Angel Warrior deal and Demons could be more brutish. (Though IIRC they also removed "lawful evil" entirely because they claimed it was too often used as just "Smart evil" Or was it they removed Chaotic Evil?) 5e seems to have split the difference by making them Neutral fiends.
