Let's go!! Welcome back man! Awesome meeting you here in Fortaleza. We need to all partner up and make a video with all of us. Brazil 🇧🇷 is amazing! We are living our dreams here.
@@ChristheFreelancer How do you guys like Pipa vs Fortaleza, I am partial to Colombia but I loved Fortaleza most of the experiences I have had in Brazil so far.
Yeah I don't know man. I went there for a week in October. It's not quite there yet in terms of the infrastucture, and for long/short term slow travel stays IMO, but definitely a stunning place with incredible beaches to visit for a few days. They want to turn it into a digital nomad haven, but don't really even have a decent cafe scene at all? I found it hard to even find a place to grab a coffee tbh. Maybe in Jan things really start to pick up and get wild, but I found it kind of too quiet and basic. Once you experience the main drag in baia dos golfinhos, you've seen it all. Basically just two blocks with the majority rest of it being residential and hotels/hostels. It's still in it's exploratory phase and hasn't really found it's identity yet. Out of all of the touristy beach towns in the northeast, I personally enjoyed Jeri the most. IMO if you're a digital nomad and are looking to set up shop somewhere, you can just stay in Natal for cheap, and then visit Pipa on the weeknds, but to each their own.
Thank you for the honest view. It's always helpful to know what is the wifi speed at the time tested, too. I wish they'd advertised it on their websites.
Finally a good guide, mate! Glad to see you here also. I'm going finally to Brazil so this video come in handy, and still deciding where to go after Rio lol.
I’m from Brazil and I Would recommend you to go to the northeast. To Natal, Fortaleza, São Miguel do gostoso, Jericoacoara and Pipa itself. I’ve been to all of these places and it is amazing!
Chris channel is so underrated. With this quality of video, views should be through the roof. Random vlog channels are getting more views what’s wrong with @youtube algorithm.
Great guide! I was there this year between January and March, and was an incredible experience! Going back in 2024 again with my popup coliving Casa Basilico!
Thanks for asking Chris! Casa Basilico is a pop-up foodie coliving for Digital Nomads! We have opened it last year what a great chapter in Sardinia, where we cooked, worked and traveled around the island! This time we're heading to Pipa in January and will bring our foodie community there! @@ChristheFreelancer
🤗 Pipa 🇧🇷 it looks just as magical as I remember. Looks like the Internet situation got a little bit better but still not ready for long-term work stays. So bummed you didn't get dolphin footage but I'm so pleased you got to experience it. Looking forward to seeing more videos and I'm so excited for you to see you traveling again.
Yep Pipa will be my first Digital Nomad destination as soon as i change job for a full USD one. Im from Argentina, so the culture will not be to far from mine
I can imagine how some people would find this endless searching entitled... But living the nomad life myself, this retelling of your latest chapter feels so relatably familiar... (for one, am also about to change countries after gf broke up with me 🤣)
Nice video! I've been here 10 years ago on vacation. And was quite surprised to see it branded as a 'digital nomad' town indeed. Great vacation space but not sure if it is suitable for digital nomands unless you have your own villa with airconditioning and internet
Well done, Chris! Finally a proper Pipa video for Digital Nomads. Pipa needs a proper coworking space and cheaper accommodation. 49$ a night is a quiet a lot, considering you pay 10$ for your private room in Bali in a nice guesthouse. Maybe in a couple of years🙌
Ha, yeah right man. The price will only go up from here in Pipa. This is the cheapest it will be. Enjoy it now before the buckets of euros and dollars start to flow in the coming years.
It showed what's typically about Brazil, lies and lies. It's a good place, Pipa is awesome, but definitely is not a place for "digital nomads", they just found a cool name to make it sounds "different" and have higher price, because in that region, the things are shipper. But I enjoyed my experience in "João Pessoa" which is about 130km distance from Pipa, it's a capital and we can find anything.
Nice to see a new Video from you! Iam Happy. Thanks for the Informations. :-) Could you make a new Video with what do you take with you in 2023 as a digital nomad in your baggages?
Hi Chris TKS for sharing! Are u Guys planning to head south? Am running a digital nomad place here in Boissucanga in very early stage, not sure new Bali but maybe worth for 2 or 3 months stay
Hey man! Kiwi here. Curious if you have any suggestions for good places to live and work from in Brazil/south/Central America? I take zoom meetings most of the day and need quiet spaces with AC. Would love some advice from the ground! Cheers!
I take it you do some type of software development / engineering. How do you balance maintaining the technical skills and knowledge with "having a normal life" outside of that. In my experience this career path is naturally a bit asocial and requires a lot of time investment beyond billable hours to maintain. Do you use hired / outsourced help sometimes for example?
'How safe' is a broad question that's hard to answer but I personally had no concerns with safety when I was there. As far as I'm aware, it's very safe.
So you lived quite a few places, where would you recommend thats not bali, i watch modt your videos so i seen the places you been, what would be your number 1 spot
@@ChristheFreelancerI lived in Bali pre pandemic and it was great, I visited last year and its different, it's not for me anymore, the crowd visiting is mostly party animals, they always had crazy party but noe these ppl have created a new Bali, the zenness is gone
Dude have you any idea what happened too ‘Psycho Traveller’? Even her other page ‘Alys other life’ has nothing been posted in over a year now? No sign of her at all?
Ok. I apologise for the mispronunciation. I believe the paragraph is translated from Portuguese, hence why it sounds a bit weird in English (at least for me).
I dont know why I even watch these videos, I have a family so not going anywhere 😂 Guess it's good to fantasize about different paths I could've taken
Thanks for tuning in! Hope you like the video anyways haha
Never too old to have dreams
Me too bro xD
Come to brazil, bring your family. ❤
I have a family and I am flying to Pipa in 1 month! :)

Good to see you back again mate
Great vid, thanks for the share! What was coworking in Rio like? Would be great to see a vid on Rio if you're planning one in the future
Not great. Unfortunately coworking spaces and options aren’t too good in Brazil
Great content about Pipa, I'm from the northeast in Brazil, state of Ceará.

Nup. I don't surf in general but maybe I will learn one day.

True. I definitely will still come back to Bali. Just showing something different for the viewers 😉

nah I hadn't, until you mentioned her right now. Hopefully she's ok.
Oh, you have grown up!
Hey man, try going to Florianópolis - SC
Already got my flight booked! Any specific recommendations?
@@ChristheFreelancer Buy an umbrella!
What is an estimated monthly budget? (like bali?)
Only spent 12 days there but it’s pretty affordable. Not sure how much for one month but it’s comparable in cost to Bali I’d say.
Florianópolis? :)
Good community down there but there's no online presence. Pipa is what comes up when you search for digital nomads in Brazil online.
what type of work do you do ?
I work as a Shopify developer. Check out my other channel to learn more @codewithchristhefreelancer
How much is the total cost of living per month???
Hard question to answer given I didn’t stay a whole month. It also depends on what activities are included in the calculation.
you still work as a shopify dev?
Yep
where did you meet her ?
We met in Rio
who's filming this ?
Me mostly. Paty helped film some of the shots of me though.
Why there is huge gap in your videos?
You mean between uploads?
Your girl is stunning, how did you meet? Tinder?
Love your content, how can I connect with you to discuss a potential partnership?
You can email me at chris@christhefreelancer.com but I'll only respond if interested.
Kkkk 😮
I am far richer than you but you are definitely living a better life haha.. The U.S. sucks
yeah beyond meeting general needs money alone isn't gonna deliver a life you necessarily want. especially when you've locked yourself into a LTR
he found his brazilian wifey ?? 😳
