@dturokholmes Yeah...at 13 minutes and change...before that I was still opening it up to make a good flat patch. Goodness... what're ya gonna do? Lol

Thats where a mini excavator or a subcompact tractor is handy for packing. We just use the gravel and sand stuff from are local concrete company. It packs in. To repair it just add more to level it out. The good part is its free. Just gas and time to haul to the house.

I bet! Gooood grief it's a hot one today!! I'm filling cracks in the driveway, and couldn't keep up with the sweat getting in my eyes! Thanks for the comment. Hope your projects are going well.

@Mr.Handy-ish I'm in Oklahoma. It's been anywhere from 100 to 115. Stay safe

Watching these videos, I often wondered why people didn't leave the trencher attached to there truck or tractor. It seems it would give it better stability.

I'll leave it hooked up if it's light digging or I'm on terrain that the trencher can't handle, but the 4x4 pickup can. The suspension on the truck gets pushed around a lot by the trencher, and the transport tires aren't really able to support tough digging. That's why you'll usually see them in digging mode (stabilizer brackets on backhoe side). They provide much better support and cause less potential damage to the machine or its tow vehicle.

I was also thinking keep it hooked up even after changing over to the legs, or adding a swivel foot to come down below the tires. Anyway just me thinking.

@bobreichel In the Army I trained on a SEE Truck. A goofy looking excavating truck that had a front end loader and a backhoe that deployed from the "bed". I've seen them come up on auction, but I figure the upkeep would be too challenging/expensive. Besides, I kinda like the simple design on this machine...even if changing in and out of transport mode is a pain. Anyway, thinking can be dangerous, as my mother always told me! 👍

Flip down supports for each tire is a cool idea.
