Mr. Handy-ish

I'm an average guy doing things around the property with limited tools and intelligence😂. I expect people to occasionally learn and occasionally say "why didn't he just...?". I also LOVE employing the gals in my life as camera-ladies!...it really makes it so much more fun.
If you have a video request, let me know in a comment! I'm happy to help...otherwise just filming whatever I'm doing or thinking of. Clearly, I also like to hear myself talk! If you like to hear somebody tell stories, jokes, sillyness, or rants...you might like this channel! My other channel, Mr. H's Bits-o-Learnin, might interest those looking for a somewhat contrarian educator.

I have the 42” YTH18542 love it Hydrostatic trans is great I give your video 5 stars because you are one of the only reviewers that say “Husqvarna not Husqavarna”. Lol
I think maybe it's pronounced Hooskvarna, but oh well! I haven't had any transmission issues yet!
I'm doing this with old redwood decking that came with the house I bought, it's amazing how good that planer works. However I'm hesitant to turn the planks on their side to get the edges cause they're long heavy boards and I don't wanna cut them down, did turning them on the side work for you?
I don't think I did. Would be too likely to roll. If you want a fresh side, try running it through a table saw. Flat and safer...just set it to nibble the edge off. I think I did it with some 2x lumber though. Worked fine.
I used to go with my dad every Friday back in the day when a ticket was 7 bucks. Now it's double that, lol
@@Soulslayer24 back in early 2000s a ticket at the riverside theatre was 2 or 3 bucks...basic old theatre. Don't think those exist anymore.
I'd bet those memories are priceless.

Oh yeah...check out the original video....and don't cross the streams!! 🤣
That’s a strange wheel design in those doors. Super popular here in Australia 🇦🇺. Best option for that is to cut a 2 inch square tube (50 x 50mm) and taper it both ends so you can screw it onto one of the spokes of the door and that’s what the prongs grab onto. You’ll find the prong gap is almost always about 2 inches (50mm).
Thanks for stopping and trying to rescue it!!!
Sounds like 'hot' was the word of the day.
Yep...I'm such a baby!

Looking good! Thinking about a quick but thorough process to rehabilitate the deck. I started thinking about my Dewalt planer. After watching your video, I'm certain this is the way I'll proceed. My wife puts the sawdust on her flower beds in the back. 👍
If putting on edibles, I might be concerned as I'm not sure about the treating chems, but just pretty flowers should be okay. Good luck!!
@@Mr.Handy-ish good point. These flowers are just aesthetic; no consumption. But good point about treated 2x6s. I'll bag the sawdust for a dump run. My wife was commenting on how Dad's all dress the same... 😂

@@markdaigle9856 I think I did try, but it just took forever to go down. I would not doubt there is something else I may have missed to make it go faster. Maybe a bolt I could've cracked open to let air out somewhere else? Took so long!! 🤣. It was so comedic that it really stopped being funny. Oh well. Works great. I have a hole to dig for my sister...hoping to get to it this fall!
Great job!! Oh and to the bikini comment bikini or not women mechanics getting dirty in general are hot!! lol!!! Hope to see more 'sister handy-ish' videos she's a fast learner
Keep it up
Never mind I’m not saying nothing
You are definitely not technically inclined. Bless your little heart though. I’m confident I can assemble the one I bought now in 15-20 minutes.
That's why my hair is so thin. I scratch my head alot thinking trying to figure things out 🤣
I bet it would’ve been a lot easier if you used a mallet instead of fence pliers. Carry on…
Lol...I always use the right tool for the job!
The author didn’t to include the necessity of the globe being directly at the closest tower that could be achieved by aligning with the tower through the window from across the room. What we need is clarification about the other connection points on the globe.

When you pulled the battery out you tipped it towards yourself. Luck was on your side. If it would have leaked, you could have burns on your face and very least your shirt would dissolve in the washer. Please be aware of the dangers of a battery. A bikini would increase the views!!
Very true. Should have had brother handyish do the heavy lifting!! Thanks for the warning!! Oh, the only way I'm wearing a bikini on RUclips is if it's over my clothes! 😂
@@AuntEdifah I wasn't requesting that a bikini is in the future or encourage you to wear one. That isn't the reason for RUclips.
Right!
We own a rental condo a few miles from home with similar storm door issues. Looking forward to trying your 'quick fix' on that door as well. Thanks!
I have no problem with LED bulbs, but I think the consumer should be free to decide if they want to use them or not. Banning incandescent doesn’t make sense because if LED are as good as they tout incandescents will faze out naturally as people buy them less and switch to LED. I have a mixture of incandescent, CFL & LED in my home. In Canada we can still buy “rough service” incandescent in 40, 60 & 100W, which are basically normal bulbs relabeled so they can sell.
get a big ass bar on there it will come out

Honestly, considering that’s a convertible trailer/cart that only has. 300lb rating, which is pretty light, sounds like it’s held up respectively well for how your using it. It’s not a heavy or even medium duty dump cart, it’s a hand cart that “can also” be used as a pull behind dump cart. I just purchased the same one used and it’s indeed lighter duty, but holds up well for its intended use. Plenty of junkers out there that would have broken by now for similar or slightly less cost. Anyway, EXCELLENT review did honest explanation of how you have used it. Better review than most out there that simply talk about how they use it, vs giving an honest rundown of typical use. Appreciate it.
Thanks...and it's still taking abuse from me! I'll probably put heavier duty wheels on it for my hills.
😂Love it!!
Now do the math, how much was the small can per oz, how much was the large pack per ounce, and how much has the price increased in the last year. Now you know how much you might be saving with inflation. Shut up because the large pack was cheaper.
No argument with cost per oz!
You’re welcome at the end. Priceless.
Life’s short appreciate the small things your loved ones do
