Nope you mis understood that for the maximum value of theta for maximum range is 45° thats it whereas for max height the maximum value for theta is 90° as it becomes perpendicular to the horizontal when we drew a line.... Both are two different cases and thats how questions will trick us.....

Its actually 90 in both... Sin2theta= sin(2*45)=sin90
