This seems to be such an magnificent place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
The next time you get to the UK you should visit slains castle up in Scotland, Bram Stoker was staying near there when he wrote Dracula and it's said he used it for inspiration, it's in ruins which makes it look even more spooky, You won't get bothered with crowd's there, perfect place for filming and photography.
Im not one to praise much on youtube but I like how open minded you guys are traveling through Europe. As well as being open minded i also see you guys are respectful of all the countries and cultures you have visited. Trust me Ive been watching many travel vlogs and ive seen man comments being slipped by i didnt enjoy. Most of those individuals dont even know their doing it. Keep up the good work and I hope to see you guys in more exotic locations next!! ;)
Vlad II Dracul, the father of Vlad III Dracula (Țepeș / Impaler ) was the founder of the Drăculeşti dynasty, which lasted until the 17th century. The surname "Țepeș / Impaler" is actually a nickname (given by the Turks) given to Vlad III Dracula as a result of the method of stabbing used by him. This nickname, it is associated with Vlad after his death, has remained in use to this day.
Everyone recommends Peles! One day when it's off season I'd love to see it :) But unfortunately we are not allowed to film in there, even if you pay extra to take pictures and videos, you are not allowed to post them. That is a big reason why we did not go there, but also because you can only visit via guided tour that goes through the castle more quickly than we like and apparently it is super crowded. Bran Castle is also super crowded, but you can take as much time as you want and freely explore it, also we are allowed to take and post videos and pictures at no extra cost!
@@MoreTravelPlease Not allowed to post them? That's weird, because I've seen many vloggers post what they've filmed inside Peles. And nobody is gonna check or sanction you for it, especially since you're not from here. Romanians don't really care for rules like those, we don't even intervene in more serious cases a lot of times, let alone for something as minor as that. We don't even care for copyright too much.
I know, we really wanted to go there - everyone recommended it to us and it looks so crazy beautiful. Unfortunately when we looked into it we found out that their filming rules are very strict. You have to pay extra to film or take pictures inside of the castle, and you aren't even allowed to actually post the pictures or videos without a "professional" pass thing, which is 3,000 lei per hour - if you are approved. Also, I read that the tour was not self guided and went by quickly, and that it was super crowded. We already had an experience like that at Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, where the tours were crowded and fast and we weren't allowed to film. I only paid to go into that castle because it was a dream destination for me. But the idea of paying to get to Peles and not be able to film and to be rushed through just totally did not seem worth it for us.
@@MoreTravelPleaseBummer :( I dislike this touristy rush hour. But hey, you have the Carpathian Mountains all around you. Exploring the natural monuments is where Romania shines. As well, if you can get there, I would recommend Salina Turda. Oh, and the Sighisoara medieval town is nice. :)
@@MoreTravelPlease Peles castle is beautiful from the outside too, and there you can film as much as you want. You can take the tour for yourself, and I didn't feel it was rushed at all. The decor is really beautifully. You can take pictures or film much cheaper, but you can't post it on social media.
@@MoreTravelPlease as a Romanian I couldn't understand you, and agree with you more. One thing I've learned in 40 years of being a Romanian and which is sad is that if we have the slightest opportunity of doing something good for the mutual benefit of everyone we instead do the opposite and shit on everything and everyone. We, Romanians, need to get more educated, more open towards multiculturalism, and more understanding in general instead of being such obnoxious shits. I TOTALLY side with you guys, and I hope that our dumb mentality won't stop you from paying us another visit when our dumb idiot brains understand the purpose of tourism. Also, Romania is not just Translivania. Our country has so much more to offer, especially on the historic and aesthetic sides of things, and sometimes the best way to enjoy a travel to Romania is so stem outside of the tourism routes... or at the least take those routes in off-visiting season. I can't recommend you hard enough Valea Jiului, Valea Oltului, the Danube Boilers, the Corvin Castle, the Moldavian monasteries, the Sphinx and the Babele, the Transfagarasan highway and the mountain-y landscapes in general. During spring / summer these landscapes are literally breathtaking, you will visit them and will not want this to end. As a Romanian I should already be done being impressed with these sights, but the scenery in these places is so surreal and so touching that I just can't. You must be there in person to understand. Maybe one day... when we will not be so retarded and will understand that people visit places so they can take pictures and record their experiences to have as good memories....
13:31 The dress complements well the figure of youth that your form so well represents. Youth is after all what vampires are supposed to have been in pursuit of is it not? It is my opinion that you represented the theme well.
