    Hands-down, the best diagnostic work I’ve ever seen on RUclips!!!
    I would really like to see you do more diagnostic and fix work on new regeneration fuel injection, motocross, bike, or quad. I bet you get a ton of views!!
    Great job on all the builds

    What a great video! I actually stumbled upon your channel back on your previous 150 build video and at the time I was rebuilding my own 150 that had blow up, because of exactly what you said, the famous spun cam. It dropped a valve and the crank snapped. I rebuilt it and its running great to this day. I actually touched up the frame also but with a duplicolor honda-grey that matched up perfectly with the original paint. Keep uploading these videos man you really are teaching us a lot. Your the man.

    Fantastic refresh on the 150r!! Just a heads up that there are 2 versions of this bike, a small wheel and big wheel (150rb). On the small wheel version the fork tubes are meant to stick a few inches out of the top of the triple clamp and the rb is supposed to be flush. There are a few other differences like swingarm length, and obviously rim size between the two. These bikes are seriously peppy and fun!

    My 04’ kx250f has excessive oil pressure and is spitting out the crankcase vent, when I give throttle it dies. Any ideas to push me in the right direction when tearing it apart?

    • @restoroosterohv
      @restoroosterohv  5 месяцев назад

      First off, what is your oil level like? These bikes will spit excess oil out the vent if overfilled. There are a lot of reasons a bike may stall when applying throttle but I would start with a complete carb rebuild including mid body gaskets. I have a video on FCR carb rebuilds.

    Question let’s just say hypothetically speaking, u do run the bike w/the old cam that’s slights off by literally a smidgen but the bike still runs if u finesse the timing! What’s the worst it can do to the cylinder head & valve train?! 🤔

    • @restoroosterohv
      @restoroosterohv  10 дней назад

      I’m not sure if you are referring to a spun cam gear or just being off a tooth. If it’s off just a little bit it’s going to be more of a performance issue generally won’t cause any damage to the piston or the valves. If you find that you cannot line the timing marks up, look for a stretched timing chain, and that will be crucial to replace.

    • @TopOfThaMotorMs
      @TopOfThaMotorMs 10 дней назад +1

      @@restoroosterohv my apologies I was referring to the spun gear on the cam…

    • @restoroosterohv
      @restoroosterohv  10 дней назад +1

      @TopOfThaMotorMs I certainly would not ignore that because it could slip further in which case you would have piston to valve contact and potentially destroy your cylinder head

    need help, Honda crf 150 rb 2007
    why is my coolant sitting on top of my piston
    does it mean I need to buy another 1 or should I torque it to spec?
    need help

    • @restoroosterohv
      @restoroosterohv  5 месяцев назад +1

      Coolant getting into the combustion chamber is more than likely a failed head gasket. There are other possibilities like a damaged or warped head. You should pull the head off and check its mating surface according to the manual. If it’s good, replace the gasket and torque the head properly.

    • @restoroosterohv

      I would absolutely recommend lapping them. It will help seat the valve and also show you where the valve face is meeting the seat
