Wife and I coming to England from Canada October to see the daughter. Told/asked my missus if we could stop by and take a pic. As a fabricator myself I like to see different setups. Great videos.
Got to give a bigs thumbs up to the director , your doing a great job putting all the footage together , a lot of people probably don’t realise just how time consuming it is , but hats off to you mate your doing a top job , always a joy to watch 👍
Skilled lorry driver there. Work is work. I find the entire process fascinating. From sourcing materials, site survey, the work, the business aspect, the people, and of course how all of you handle it all.
Once again, Baz outstanding work, these small turn around job's pays the bills just as much as the big ones. Having good friends and colleagues makes things a little easier all around, keep up the good work, lads best regards John.
BAZ, it is very impressive how your drivers can back in to the shop....... always seems there are many vans and cars making an obstacle course for them......hats off to their talent in driving the big rigs......
Great chapter Baz, the art work on the new van was amazing, your probably well aware but be careful of hot grinding sparks flying around. Had a new van once that broke out in tiny rust spots all over about six months from being kitted out in a fab shop.
Baz, it's wonderful that the business is diverse enough to pay the bills. My opinion is the more diverse the broader your customer base will be. The Chapters are your advertising. In addition, because the jobs are different it keeps the staff learning new methods and techniques. I always look forward to new chapters. Keep it up pretty soon you'll have your own Heli! Cheers.
Plenty of diverse content this chapter a very nice looking van to work on. It looks like your reputation for wash ramps is getting you work. Great chapter once again and as always crack on lad to the next one ( midweek) hopefully
Absolutely love it when people take pride in their vans. Trucks etc. Can soon see you doing custom hgv fuel tanks and catwalks and kitting out more vans.
Alright baz and Co another great video but please check the regs about using one rachet strap several times on a load I have heard that vosa will fine u if the loads are double strapped
3 company's which I follow on RUclips all with great inspiration to others owners like the ones I had in my last 7 yrs before retiring that you give your upmost or before you drop dead because they treat their workers the perfect way and they got a lovely bunch of workers be happy to work with I'm refering to Baz Welderfabber , Daniel Ashville and of course D&J Projects keep up the good work guys
Great content as usual Baz, good use of time lapse and raw footage, and varied jobs going through the business. Onward and upward Welderfaber !! BTW you had better get a ramp designed for the Struggler if he can't inspect off the floor after 2025 ! What helf and safety BS !! 😉
Yes!!! Baz you're getting there more work means more staff slowly building everything so that its solid as a rock only 3 months to the new year and my iam truely looking forward to it .
Baz - you are bridging the gap for many people - there are just not the people to do 'simple' fabrication. There are many people who can design it but fewer and fewer people can actually make it.
Hi Baz! Great video, and got to love the internet experts on straps and chains 😂. On your wash ramps, I mentioned it before, and I know it’s not down to you, it’s your customer, but a lot of folks aren’t aware of the process. If they paint on site after install, which I completely understand and would prob do the same if it were my installation, then get it blasted in situ and get it zinc metal sprayed. It will outlast galv, paint goes beautifully over it and it can be any size; no tank size limitation
Afternoon guy's Another belting episode full of new content. I must admit I'm a little jealous of the M. A. N. she is a beauty. Not sure about the auto but would be nice to try as I do around 3000 miles a week. Stay safe
Best thing to coat them ramps with Baz is a paint called steal it it’s a stainless steel in the can pretty much bulletproof rustproof and weldable good gear ain’t cheap but much cheaper than galvanising
28:00 - On your comment about working on Heavy Plant, To be fair the reason i did subscribe to you originally was because i loved watching you maintain the crushers and screeners out on site, and the different repairs you did on them all. I am a fitter myself so enjoyed that aspect more so than the workshop fabrication. But don't get me wrong - I do still love what you are doing and i am still very much subscribed and watching! It is definitely difficult for you to get out and do it now days seeing as you are now tied up running a business!
Enjoying the videos baz i know you are still only finding your feet with the new business but we need to see u back on the tools mate. Honestly my favourite part of your videos was just watching u and cal seeing the way you went about doing tricky repairs and complex jobs and talking us throgh your process sharing your knowledge and experience how best to go about it. Not a criticism just food for thought all the best from Ireland.
With this new wash ramp I'm guessing it's bin motors going on it. When you're doing calculations take in to account the rear end as the bin lift will hang low. I used to have issues where I used to work of rear very slightly touching when going up
On that cable shredder put a sloped roof over the motor so any cable that doesn't go into the hopper slides onto the floor or fab a bigger mouth on one side of the hopper that clears the motor.
would it be worth putting some kind of handle (like a folding pull handle) on 2 opposite ends of the ali panels you made for the pit? just to make moving/sliding them easier
Painting stuff is hassle especially if you don’t have a dedicated area to paint in. We have to spray stuff in our workshop occasionally and I hate it because it gets on everything. If my customers wanted stuff unpainted I’d be delighted 👌🏼
Goodmorning mr welderfabber and Director. Baz looking good as always, tell you what Baz u need a driver now to drive u to places so you can concentrate on the new business and the clients 😊 honest. Baz so much varied work you doing I think you need to look into offloading your brains onto AI technology. All the best Baz and Director you guys are doing well love watching your channel.
Hi Baz , does that MAN have split rear seat covers ? Just bought same van but MAN are saying they can’t get split rear seat covers ? I have the middle seat down as a table all the time so needs to be split and not solid like they’ve sent me. Cheers.
It looks like it has seat covers on so thought you could look when near it and confirm, my man at MAN has sent me two sets now and both wrong but I don’t think he trying hard enough , they are Genuine MAN ones in mine ? Thanks Baz.
Blessed good night Boss, I like your equipment. Have you think about getting a Lincoln Mavrick 400 amps dual welder engine and run two suite case wire feeders from it, or a Miller big Air pk 800 dual engine and you can operate two suite case wire feeders from it, plus plasma and gouge.
Galvanizing here in the states runs 30 cents to 35 cents per pound of steel weight......so if you have 100 pounds of steel, it will cost you 30 dollars to 35 dollars..... 100 kilos would be 66 dollars.....not Sure of the conversion, but it can really add up........
I like watching the heavy plant side of things but work is work at the end of the day. If wash ramps and fabrication jobs pay the bills thats all that matters. Felt a bit sorry for Cal and Sam as i know how awkward working on those shredder hammers can be. Fair play spending 10 hours constant welding on the shredder drum. Look forward to seeing the van fit out all finished.
Why do you choose kemppi welders over othered specifically esab considering you use a lot of esab wire? Since your brother had an esab welder and you use a lot of there wire and electrodes I would’ve thought you’d use there welders
*CUT THE BOTTOM FLANGE* (NOT the top) off of the ramp. The ramp would still get thin, as it needs to, but it wouldn't get steeper. And you would only have to cut the last meter or so.
Work is work and your kind is no different. If the job is easy, the cost reflects that but if the work is hard, there has to be a premium paid. If the company want the job doing, they pay the rate - if they quibble then no problem, find some other mug to do it. If the customer wants a comparison, get a price from the original manufacturer. They don't mend things, they replace with new.
@LifeofTom #Syndicate has brought a large bit of farm land, he'll need to things making or repairing, would be a great collaboration, his in Manchester.
That ramp is great. As for painting - if you did simpler things, painting them at the workshop would make some sense. But with such complex elements, you'd need a separate prep and painting space plus 2 more people to do it. I think that galvanising is the best way. It adds cost, but the steel lasts forever, thus making your job more presentable. New van is sweet.

Thanks, will do!
It makes more sense to paint that ramp once it’s in place anyway; saves the paint getting scuffed in transit.
Skilled lorry driver there. Work is work. I find the entire process fascinating. From sourcing materials, site survey, the work, the business aspect, the people, and of course how all of you handle it all.

Love how Baz says “GET SOME HIGH VIZ ON” Sam and Cal ignore him 😂😂
Was thinking the same thing 😂
I can only advise so much...
BAZ, it is very impressive how your drivers can back in to the shop.......

not that hard.
@@jone8626 you have never seen the drivers we have around here in Florida

Keeps the boredom away from the work force too! Diversity is a great thing 😊

Plenty of diverse content this chapter a very nice looking van to work on. It looks like your reputation for wash ramps is getting you work. Great chapter once again and as always crack on lad to the next one ( midweek) hopefully

What a VANTASTIC team.
YEAH they are.

What a cringe 😂

Alright baz and Co another great video but please check the regs about using one rachet strap several times on a load I have heard that vosa will fine u if the loads are double strapped
Hey Baz any chance you can do a video explaining how a welder set works as it seems some work with a gas bottle and some don’t. Keep up the great work
Great suggestion! All depends on what wire u use
Another awesome video, thank you baz & the Director, great work every one
Our pleasure!
Enjoying watching the variety of work you are now doing Baz, keep up the good work 👍

Working on it
Am really liking you guys quality fabbin but can I suggest you close the ends on box section pieces even with a plastic bung.
With this new wash ramp I'm guessing it's bin motors going on it.

Its a belting van
Good morning from Malawi
would it be worth putting some kind of handle (like a folding pull handle) on 2 opposite ends of the ali panels you made for the pit? just to make moving/sliding them easier
No they are light universal handles would get in the way
Good morning Baz and the super team

Be interested to see the van kit out in detail. We've got one that needs doing, smaller but needs clever ideas
that is a lot of noise during the shredder repair, and that sure looks very uncomfortable for Cal and Sam......
great work guys....
Welding is uncomfortable!!!!
Yes it was!
Hi Baz , does that MAN have split rear seat covers ? Just bought same van but MAN are saying they can’t get split rear seat covers ? I have the middle seat down as a table all the time so needs to be split and not solid like they’ve sent me. Cheers.

Why do you choose kemppi welders over othered specifically esab considering you use a lot of esab wire?
Since your brother had an esab welder and you use a lot of there wire and electrodes I would’ve thought you’d use there welders
kemppi are the best hands down
Hello in your opinion what is top money for a welder fitter fabricator in this sort of game in uk take home pay thanks.
Good question....subby/fully employed its hard to say but it all comes down to output and skill!
*CUT THE BOTTOM FLANGE* (NOT the top) off of the ramp. The ramp would still get thin, as it needs to, but it wouldn't get steeper. And you would only have to cut the last meter or so.
Bon Boulo 😆😆👍👍
why not make some light bars Cal ? more of a one off then.
I’ve thought about it, takes a lot of time and difficult to fit them, probably not worth my time unfortunately
The MAN vans are just a re badged Crafter right?
yes

Baz need a second had commercial ramp. Let me know if any of yours customers have a second hand one for sale.
Last 1 we installed I'm referbing his old 1 he may sell it
You might have found your niche in these ramps Baz, 2025 may be a busy 1 for you once people realise they need them
are the Warriors inverter machines ?
They have to be, juding by the size. Transformer machines are bigger and heavier.
yup
Do you have an engineer in the company to draw and calculate, or do you have to hire?
hire for now
Baz are you a former Boy Scout? The left hand hand shake ?
I'm universal when needed
