    the Rx pins of the switch are 1 and 2 and the Tx pins of the switch are 3 and 6. Whereas, the Rx pins of the router are 3 and 6 while the Tx pins of the router are 1 and 2. So how the did you connect the router and the switch with crossover cable? Its not necessary nowadays because of the introduction of Auto MDI X, so just automatically choose the cable as you have very poor knowledge.

    Could you possibly explain a little bit as you’re going along? Like, at all? It’d be nice to know the reasoning behind some of these actions

    She made an error when configuring the Router sub-interface by giving both VLAN 10 and 20 an IP address of 198.168.X.X. Should have been 192.168.X.X. How did it ping with the wrong config?

    encapsulation dot1q is not the standard developed for intervlan route??????
    encapsulation dot1q inserts a vlan tag to the packet. So that when the packet reaches the switch from the router, the switch can use the vlan tag to identify the vlan through which the packet will be directed.

    Holy shit was this a life saver, easy to follow and understand I managed to do this in Cisco packet tracer and in an at-home lab server with cisco actual routers. This is the perfect video to just do first then research afterwards get more descriptive of what each command does documentation

      Turn on simulation and check whether the broadcast traffics are divided between your vlans. If your broadcast messages(by default pink envelops) from one vlan is not travelling to the other vlan, then your vlan is proper.

    why we have to use different gateway for pc 3 and 4 when they are connected to one switch and one router please help

    • @sam33n
      @sam33n 10 месяцев назад

      Follow some other video sir. This youtuber is a fraud. She made mistakes after mistakes. Now to answer your question, I dont see any pc 3.But the reason for having separate gateways for each vlan is because- for the trunk cable to be able to connect both vlans to one interface we need to do sub-interface, hence providing a different ip address to each sub interface. Thus for pcs under different vlans will have different gateways accordingly.
