Ramcharger Restoration: Can We Save This Engine??

the 1980 Dodge Ramcharger has a 318 V8, we removed the engine, transmission and transfer case all at once to save time to begin tearing down the engine and rebuilding it.

You asked the question why we do these restorations. I know for myself it’s the most satisfying feeling of bringing something old back to life and enjoying the way cars and trucks used to be built. They weren’t perfect but they are so much easier to understand than today’s computer enhanced systems. It’s that feeling of accomplishment and turning something into a reality. Sometimes you just gotta wrench to be happy. Lol

I agree completely! I just spent this last weekend on the Ramcharger getting the front suspension done and it feels so good seeing the end result!
