Update: In GPU comparisons the A17 gets around 23fps where the 9300 is around 29. Pretty significant jump in performance
Dimensity 9300 is a very smart move it gives much better performance, better heat management, lower power usage at high performance compared to Snapdragon 8 gen 3. 4+4 Core Design indeed a huge jump. Mediatek did really understood that Cortex A720 and A520 did not improve perf per watt compared to A78 and A55 respectively so they eliminated that core and use only the X4 and A720.
Mediatek even beats Snapdragon 8 gen 3 in genshin impact at the highest setting possible. 59fps from the Mediatek Dimensity at 4.7W of consumption and less heat compared to Snapgdragon 8gen3 which can only do 57fps at 5.9W of power consumption that literally beats the heck out of it lol.
It is like an M1 chip on a phone (4+4 Core Design)
Only problem is gcam and custom ROM support, that is preventing me from buying MTK powered phones
Mediatek just had enough being on a budget lineup, now they are now time to shine to the most flagship section so 🔥
I have iqoo Neo 7 which have dimensity 8200...and one thing that I should say is this is a beast🔥...my brother has OnePlus 11r which has 8 plus gen1....and I noticed that I got stable frame rates and smoothness than 8+gen1....so don't be andhbakht of snapdragon....mediatek will definitely rule gaming in future❤❤

It's quite sad for mediatek, the chips are good but so many companies don't optimise aps and games for mediatek as efficiently as for Qualcomm and apple bionic. So it will still probably lag behind.

What is the use of most powerful chip, if the software is not optimised to use the chip fully.
I don't think it's possible we might have believed it if you ve said it will have 2 but 4 is just not possible because it will cost cpu upto 330dollars
Even the D9200+ is drastically nerfed by OEMs to keep power / thermals in check. Not hopeful but we'll wait and see

2×853= 1706 for 2 cores
For 8 cores = 2200
Means 2200-1706= 494 for 6 efficiency cores . That means 1 prime cores A-715 is 10-11 times more powerful then the A-510 efficiency cores. Which is almost negligible

And in single core A-55 has 220 points compared to cortex-X4 (2179 points) which is around 10 times faster then the A-55 efficiency cores . Now imagine dimensity 9300 has 4 X-4 cores 💀 . And for efficiency 9300 has 40% more power efficient compare to 9200

A17 is on N3P (3nm node) of TSMC whereas Dimensity 9300 is still 4 nm. So, let's wait and watch. There is a good chance that it could beat the 8 gen 3 in cpu performance. The GPU? Mali has a lot of catching up to do.

Still no other processer can beat snapdragon in consistency in performance and snapdragon processors stay last long than mediatek. Mediatek processer will give 60 to 70% power after 2 years and snapdragon phones will last long for minimum 3-4 years (with gaming like pubg). Like I have a device mobistar xq dual with snapdragon 430 and it still work fine after 4-5 years. And I have also used infinix smart 3 plus and this phone is worst phone that i have used till the heating🔥 issue under A/C😅. Still it's my opinion and experience with snapdragon and mediatek.😅😂

yes Dimensity is Powerful because of Cortex X4. but Remember X4 generate too much heat, so dimensity throttle performance over time, and smartphone need beast cooling system for these beast CPU.
Cortex X4 core is 50% more efficient than x3 , but still 4 X4 cores on a single chip 😱. Curious how the thermal performance would be.
i mean to bve fair if they are smart they would dial down the clocks and go for something like 2.4ghz on all 4 cores. i think a x4 clocking at2.4 would still be more powerfull than like a a78 at 3ghz

Its useless unless there is optimization with the software. Dimensity 9200 might be faster than A17 in raw computational power, but in practical tests, it will lose and be slower than A17 cause its not optimized with the software unlike Apple
