While watching this a Mew spawned in my world and I managed to catch it, this is now gonna be the video I will play on repeat when trying to hunt legendaries
i just caught my first legendary while the highest leveled pokemon in my party was i think 28 lol. Shaymin spawned in a lavender field, i just decided to take the shot knowing full well i could've gotten rocked, instead shaymin was a complete pushover with no effective combat moves, my pawniard took shaymin down in the red after many turns, and a single great ball caught it. Was honestly mind blown because i expected shaymin to have at least one killer combat move that would destroy my entire party but pawniard took it like a champ. Thanks for making this video, your info was very accurate and checking journeymap shows they always spawn within the exact vicinity you showed in your example. Catching legendaries may become a cakewalk for me once i have more balls (haha) and a higher leveled party.
I've had two legendary spawns so far, the first was Zeraora and the second was Kyogre, Kyogre's spawn was probably the cooler of the two since I was in a city suspended over water and there was no mention that it had even spawned in, I just fell into the water and saw its tailfins as it swam into the distance which both awed and scared the shit out of me (Subnautica PTSD 🤣)
Hey! I’ve been having a really hard time finding Raid dens that legendaries spawn in, every time one pops up in chat of my normal survival world, I’m always scrambling to find it. Are there any clues that can make it easier to find the dens?
If you’re flying around and one spawns in a den, I recommend staying going that direction as it’s likely it spawned in a chunk that just loaded in. It doesn’t always work out that way unfortunately, I’ve missed out on quite a few myself, but I hope this helps you out :)
does it matter how fast you're traveling? I've been playing all day (mostly just flying around on reshiram) but I haven't gotten a single spawn. I was wondering if the rendering was too fast for the game to catch up and activate a spawn

Thank you! As for your question, Legendaries should still spawn out in the world by default , unless you’re on a server that has legendary spawns disabled. Raid dens are just an extra way to be able to find them and can sometimes be easier than the traditional method for getting that legendary :)

I have a world with Biomes You'll Go and Biomes O Plenty, and with a large portion of the map explored, it's always a complete gamble as to which exact raid den could it possibly be, so it becomes frustrating searching for the one specific den, especially when it's underwater.

Thanks! I’m not sure of the exact range, but from my experience it can be in any chunk that is loaded around the player. It can be tricky to find all of them, unfortunately, but I wish you luck!
Some Legendaries spawn in dens of more generalized versions of their spawn biome. For example Latios normally spawns in an Ocean Biome but it can spawn in River, Beach, and Ocean dens. Cresselia typically spawns in the Birch Forest M biome (or whatever its equivalent is in the 1.16 version) but it can spawn in Forest and birch Forest raid dens. I go over each of the legendary spawns and their raid den spawns in my other legendary videos :)
What happens if there multiple players (in two different biomes) and a legendary spawn, are the chances of it spawning near you random or is there a way pixelmon calculates that

Either that or the game still tries to pick a random block in the spawnable area around the player, but it could potentially pick its block from around every player online.
Nope! Raid dens and regular legendary spawns are separate. Raid dens typically reset at the end of dawn so you can sleep to reset them faster too (unless they’ve changed it).

You do have to defeat the ones in raid dens before it gives you a chance to catch them, and you’ll still get the drops too! The chance of catching it though is the same as if you were fighting it wild and it had 1HP, so it’s likely it will break out still. I wish you all luck! :)
bro , but u can have 2 other versions , pixelmon reforge or pixelmon generations [first one more items and bad models , 2th better models and bad commands] every this version have other spawns
Try checking the Pixelmon config under the legendary settings, by default I think legendary spawn messages should be on. I play on singleplayer as well and they were on for me. If that doesn’t work, try asking support on the Pixelmon subreddit. I hope this helps! :)

Yeah, most likely a server-side issue. It could also be that other players are in areas with higher-weighted Pokemon which would make those Legendaries more frequent than some others.
When I do /checkspawns legendary in my single player world, a message telling the countdown for the next attempt to spawn a legendary appears, but in my multiplayer server no such message exists? Any explanation? I looked all over the configs and found nothing
Honestly, I’m not too sure. My best guess is that the server spawns Legendaries on some sort of different system than singleplayer, or that it isn’t able to give a definite time. I don’t have too much experience with multiplayer, so my answer is just a guess lol. I hope you’re able to figure it out :)
Any natural-spawned legendary can respawn or spawn multiple times. Legendaries spawned through items or other single-use means, will have to have those items collected and used again.
How do you know that the game first picks a block, and then checks all the other conditions? I've been searching for this answer everywhere and I can't find it, looks like the source code is not open source. I'm curious because I wanted to know if I needed to flood a biome or build a larger take to increase my chances of lake mans spawning.
I’ve seen it mentioned a few times by Pixelmon support (and that it actually tries a few different blocks per attempt). But it was also proven with the old Mew farm design, because if only successful blocks were picked, Mew would have been a much more common spawn than it was. I hope this answers your question :)
There are some settings in the Pixelmon Config (I think in the spawning section) that you can change to increase legendary spawn rates. The Legendary Pokemon page on wiki should have more info at the bottom for the specifics on that :)
I usually just count 18 blocks from whatever area I want to have as my spawnable space and then afk there. I don’t know if there’s any other way to check, but I hope this helps :)

You can catch them! But you only get one chance to do it each time you fight one!

@@shark_radix The Tower of Waters is usually found on beaches, but you can also get the Scroll of Waters as a potential drop from Rare boss Pokemon :)
