I was meant to get AAB but ended up getting BBD, and i ended up getting my second choice and it was the best thing that ever happened to me❤️ I’m now training to be a midwife❤️ everything happens for a reason, you did so well gorgeous, don’t be so hard on yourself xxx

Matilde did A level English literature, psychology and chemistry ❤️ then I applied to 5 uni’s and I got 4/5 offers, and had to have loaaads of interviews for them, for midwifery you need to do maths and English tests aswell, once you’ve passed the tests and interview stages, you just need the grades, and my second choice took me ✨ midwifery is a mixture of placement and assignments, so I’m 50% in hospitals learning on the job and 50% in uni learning knowledge behind it all, throughly enjoying it and would recommend highly xx

My friends amazing at art and got a C too, so maybe it’s something to do with the grade boundaries being really high? She was predicted an A* and got A’s all year aswell. You did amazing though well done xx
I've always wondered how marking works in Art, it seems like it depends on whether the marker likes it or not which is pretty unfair
Grade boundaries are high for a reason!
Look at physics, load of rubbish comes up, only nerds have a clue about it. So boundaries have to be low so not everyone gets a pass
The way they mark art is a joke, and there is no consistency across sixth forms and colleges. It is so political too, as the actual head of culture in the Tory party said that we shouldn't teach the arts to kids. So it just shows that maybe because they is a 10 year decline in top marks is because the government wants to cut the arts.
Poppy Scoffings it’s very sad if this is the reason they are making it harder to get good grades. Not everyone is academic so a subject like art is important for students to be able to do x

Why am I 23, and crying my eyes out with you. It reminded me of me getting my GCSE results and panicking because I was told throughout school I would not amount to anything. I passed all 13 GCSEs, and am now a qualified charge nurse in mental health. Congratulations Lydia, it’s absolutely amazing what you have achieved and it doesn’t matter what university you go to it’s how you strive and succeed xx
Can I ask what route you took to become that? I want to go into a career with mental health but I'm not really sure what qualifications ill need - doing maths, history, biology and psychology a levels
Rebecca Louise I did health and social care at a level, you also have to have experience working in health care whether its volunteering or paid work. Then I did a 3 year degree in mental health nursing at university xx

As someone who got into uni through clearing in 2011 and didn’t get into my firm or insurance, I couldn’t have been happier with where I ended up and with my degree. I’m so so happy years later that it ended up how it did. Basically, everything happens for a reason and there’s a reason you didn’t get into your firm and your insurance is probably gonna be a better fit for you. You should be so made up with those results, a levels are bloody difficult and you’ll have the BEST time at university xo

Honestly you should be so SO proud of yourself - you achieved amazing grades! I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason! My friends didn’t get their first choices but they’ve had the most amazing experiences at their unis and they wouldn’t change a thing 🧡

Try to get art remarked usually if your a few marks off they'll move your grade up. Happened to me last year got a D and was able to move it up to a C.
I actually cried with you omg well done, I remember the stress I went through and had to go through extras with a B, D and a Pass, wherever you go you’ll fit right into the uni offered to you and you’ll love it!!!!!♥️
i remember last year i got an A and two fails, i was gutted but i went through the clearing process and i’m now studying to be an educational psychologist! don’t worry about not getting everything you need because everything happens for a reason and you’ll be lead down the right path even if it wasn’t the original path❤️good luck!
