I was a 10yro army brat to 2 officers when this happened. We were stationed in Italy, and my dad was good friends with a lot of the guys involved, being a former ranger when he was enlisted. I also remember him getting his uniform ready and flying back stateside for some of their funerals. My dad is one a dozen plus people not involved in the movie that have a signed copy of the movie from soldiers that were there
