My friend Eric Thomsen, builder of the Redwood Valley Railway, Berkley California on two occasions shipped a Redwood Valley locomotive to the Romney to operate on the RH&D. Eric was on friendly terms with then RH&D general manager John Snell and senior engine driver George Barlow. Rest in peace my friends. And thank you for this up to date look at Capt. Howie's railway.
thanks for sharing your video and a great collection of shots. We are looking for to heading over there next April to May from Australia and its certainly one of the main spots we are going to, Cheers Richard
I rode this line in 1949 and 1950. Mum, Dad and self stayed at the Jolly Fisherman Hotel at Greatstones on Sea , I was 8 ears old in 1949. My bedroom overlooked the RHDR, I thought I had gone to Heaven,!!!
Nicely filmed, but lacking in any info like Station Names etc - could do with a voice-over just to make it even more interesting and some appropriate light instrumental music. Only my POV.

Easily one of the best railways in the country.
I don't know who runs the R, H & D Railway's Marketing Dept, but they need to do more, this wonderful experience should be shared more!
A great place to spend so much time! We only had half a day recently!
Awesome video SatNavDan :)
This always a good day out
Nice
That'#s a great shot in the mist at 5:05. That must be on the Dungeness extension?

Wish I had been there.
