You're right about that! I come from a German family in the USA (not Amish, we were Mennonite a couple of generations ago.), but I cannot see my family ever supporting me in a marriage like hers. They're both so fortunate to have parents so suppotive!

Its interesting that the food is so similar to what we cook in Trinidad. The Mandizi (hope I spelt it correct) we call it fried bake. Except we don't add the lemon rind to it but I'm def going to try. The cabbage ugali is just fried or steamed cabbage for us. My favorite always is the cooking. You should show more videos about the local cooking. BTW babu is a very goodlooking young man.

Despite being tired Naomi is looking good. I love seeing everyone pitching in to help the couple to be. I especially liked watching Baboo. He seems such a genuinely happy person and always so helpful. He seems very good in the kitchen too. I know how much Kenyans love their nyoma choma. 😋 I'm glad to read Naomi and Jasmine are at your home as I know you will shower them with help at this early stage of motherhood. It will also give you some practice looking after a very young baby👶🏻.

I truly miss my day's of growing up with my family. We have the same tradition when the family have a big event. Wedding, christening, graduation and ect.
