Listening to this years ago, I vividly remember sobbing and feeling completely alone at the very moment the last part hits. How weird to feel so alone in a world full of people feeling the very same thing, while listening to the very same song. The world is a kooky place.
Rare to see someone cover a song and you can feel the reverence and passion for the original. Round Here is such a powerful song backed by one of the most unique and powerful voices of my generations. This cover certainly did both of those justice. Outstanding.
Noah. My wife and I saw you live, years ago before we had ever heard one of your albums. We turned to look at each other at the same time and we knew that we had just discovered something special. Been fans ever since. This performance was everything that made us fall in love with you. I'm crying. Thank you.
You feel it in your soul, only if you have compassion because this is where you can feel someone else's pain. In life if you have no compassion for a human, an animal, whatever the case may be, you will hurt for them. He feels it to core himself! He's awesome.

@user-hr1mp1im7w IMHO this "cover " goes way beyond the original version. Noah has taken this song to a whole different level and that's not putting the crows down. Far from it. There are tons of artists who have taken a great song , turned it into their own. Think Dolly Parton, Whitney Houston, and " I will always love you " . Adam and the crows wrote a great song, But Noah, on stage and wringing every bit of his soul in frount of an audience who really not sure what they were hearing and listening to,¹finally showed love and appreciation for the song and the artist. I come back to this every day. I led my best friends funeral in 2017, due to a overwhelm of life that he couldn't overcome. We were 90's kids, graduating in 2000, and listening to this album every day. This "cover" captures the emotions of the song in a way I can't really explain. Watered eyes as I write this, thanks for putting this out into the world. At 4:49, I can hear this from the soul of my friend and it daily reminds me to be present for the ones in front of us. We are a culture so desperate to be known and yet we settle for being seen.
So many men and boys high on white horses with a such long way to fall .. Hemingway nailed it: “The world breaks everyone, and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too, but there will be no special hurry.”
I wouldn't say he made it his own, it's very similar to how Counting Crows perform it live. That said, it is a brilliant cover, never heard of the guy before but he has a great voice.
I listened to that CC album every night as I tried to sleep after going through my divorce. That was over twenty years ago. I don’t think I have heard this song since then, but this cover? It’s brought back some pain. Only a truly beautiful expression of music could do that to a person and have them weeping and smiling at the same time. I love this performance. Thank you.
I listened to that CC album through the year of my first heart break. And I love hard. Feel you man hope you’re seeing the love you’ve had and have, one love 💚🫶🇿🇼

I Love You..til we get to laugh again..in heaven.. Smiley. ❤
Listened to my dad's CD collection as a kid. Green Day, Sublime, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, The Fray, Counting Crows and more. This brought me all the way back to that, not really knowing what the lyrics ment but knowing every word. Thanks dad for teaching me about music, even if you didn't know you were teaching me.
Gonna have to say….i wouldn’t put The Fray in quite the same music era. But still a good band. Hung out them for a little bit in early 2000’s in Denver, CO when I worked at a jazz club across from one of their apartments. It was right before they made it big. Pretty cool dudes.
This is my favourite song. It has been since I was a child, and it means the world to me. I hadn’t heard of Noah before the algorithm brought this to me. And now I’m a new Noah Gundersen fan. Absolutely incredible performance.
This caught me off guard and has me sobbing. This song and every version of it has been under my nails for 20 years as I’ve tried to claw my way out of hell. Thank you for doing it justice.
As a young mother, I loved this song. My son was so sick that I was so sleep deprived that I never got to bed before 2 am. This song made me feel less lonely.

This makes me almost pay the RUclips premium so i can play without needing my phone open constantly. If this could be on Spotify/Apple Music that wold be great :D
It's the way I couldnt get through this song the first time I heard it. It's the way Adam penned feelings I've felt into words I'd never been able to express to anyone. Like decades of feeling this same thing with/for/against/because of someone. And here you are making it impossible to listen to it after hundreds, if not thousands of rotations over all of those years. It's stupid how much I love this song. I think it may be my favorite ever. But it's been the most consistent track in music. Its perfect. This cover is perfect. Thank you for taking me way back to that first time. I doubt you'll see this, but man, Noah. Thank you.

Wow. Amazing performance. Someone needs to get this to Counting Crows.
Adam will find it. He always does
I come back to this every day.
Man we graduated the same year and I've got a similar story. Bless you and the memory of your buddy 🙏🙏
If you haven't heard it I recommend listening to Noah Gundersen’s song Better Days. The song hits home.
It’s rare that an artist can make a song their own, especially one so iconic. Bravo Noah!
I wouldn't say he made it his own, it's very similar to how Counting Crows perform it live. That said, it is a brilliant cover, never heard of the guy before but he has a great voice.
How can this only have 1.8 million views when I’ve listened to it 1.8 million times myself?
I listened to that CC album every night as I tried to sleep after going through my divorce. That was over twenty years ago. I don’t think I have heard this song since then, but this cover? It’s brought back some pain. Only a truly beautiful expression of music could do that to a person and have them weeping and smiling at the same time. I love this performance. Thank you.
I listened to that CC album through the year of my first heart break. And I love hard. Feel you man hope you’re seeing the love you’ve had and have, one love 💚🫶🇿🇼
Hope you found another love x
Love these heartfelt connections concocted by music 🎵🎶
If ya haven't, listen to the ten minute version on Across the Wire: live in New York city. It's at the Hammerstein ballroom. Beautiful
I literally got chills. I can tell this wasn't just a performance. You felt every line to the bone
It never ceases to amaze me how a brilliant artist can cover a song I know/love well and make it shine. This is beautiful and special, Noah Gundersen. Thank you.
I'm in love so I identified
Round Here... Wherever You Are...

@@WildWildWestTaurus1 Solidarity in grief 🥰
My god. I have no words. You had me crying from the first seconds and what a journey this was. Thank you.
YA’LL SLEPT ON NOAH
I wish! 😂 lol This guy is great.
Ur Dad Had Good Taste. My Dad Taught me my Taste. I ended up Teaching Him ❤
I hope to be like your dad to my daughter
Wow dude you definitely didn't make me feel young. Lol. Your dad's CD collection sounds a lot like mine.
Feeling dad aged now. Your old man had good taste.
Gonna have to say….i wouldn’t put The Fray in quite the same music era. But still a good band. Hung out them for a little bit in early 2000’s in Denver, CO when I worked at a jazz club across from one of their apartments. It was right before they made it big. Pretty cool dudes.
This song has always made me cry, and this cover is amazing artist has done it justice !! Bravo!!! Incredible performance!!❤
Awesome....amazing brought me to tears...
This is a beautifully judged and authentic performance. Full of emotion, intensity, power and vulnerability. Great stuff. Deserves millions of views.
I didn’t even get this song until I heard you sing it. 🙏🏼
Somehow, this sent me back to "Family" and "Ledges".
This is my favourite song. It has been since I was a child, and it means the world to me. I hadn’t heard of Noah before the algorithm brought this to me. And now I’m a new Noah Gundersen fan. Absolutely incredible performance.
Me too ! I love him his band and his sweet sister
This caught me off guard and has me sobbing. This song and every version of it has been under my nails for 20 years as I’ve tried to claw my way out of hell. Thank you for doing it justice.
❤

This is a masterpiece! Saw him perform this live in Portland last fall, and it was mesmerizing. Noah is so gifted. ❤
Goodness, the feels are simply overwhelming. Wow. This performance adds so much gravitas to the lyrics. This is the epitome of a cover song.
As a young mother, I loved this song. My son was so sick that I was so sleep deprived that I never got to bed before 2 am. This song made me feel less lonely.
Literally the best cover I have ever heard. I have never left a RUclips comment before. I’m not really into concerts but you are the one artist that I would love to experience their music live. Tears streaming down my face. So intense yet sincere.
Wow. Never heard of this artist... I am in awe & tears! Stunning vicals/ performance!

NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING!!! I LOVE THE COUNTING CROWS, BUT THIS GUY...MAN, IT'S MAGICAL...HONESTLY BRILLIANT!
This is the song that introduced me to Noah's music and i have not stopped listening since.
Me too. All his songs. His early music is absolutely beautiful.
This makes me almost pay the RUclips premium so i can play without needing my phone open constantly. If this could be on Spotify/Apple Music that wold be great :D
Could just use RUclips Red...
You could always use a video to MP3 converter and save the song on your phone too 🤷♀️

The best rendition of this song I’ve ever heard. The passion comes through- thank you
She says it's only in my head.. she said Shhh I know, it's only in my head 😭
Noah - you are a gift to this world. Thank you
Had me at the first line. Wow. Id love to hear this released for streaming. Something about your voice cuts to my soul.
Thank you.
Thank you for this comment. It so eloquently summed up the way I feel about this song and why I’ve held it so dear my entire life.
Honestly I can’t stop listening to this. Counting crows moved me in the 90’s and I didn’t think it could be beat. You my friend have done it. I listen to this almost nightly. Fight your battles and hold strong. You have a gift. You can do this. Best ever!!
It isn't often you like the cover more than the original, but this is the version I like most. Well done.
I agree 1000%
Counting crows was my soul as a teenager 😭
Hop on my choo choo ill be your engine driver in a bunny suit
Dress me up in pink and white, maybe well be just a little fuzzy bout it later tonight.
Wow. This is one of the most powerful performances I've ever seen. Incredible.
I’m jealous of this crowd because its probably their first time hearing this song ever and my first time live was 2004. To relive that moment again would be a great dream.
As a die hard Crows fan, this is the best cover of this song I have ever heard
Noah....my little brother....every now and then my God & my Universe Produce SOMETHING SO EXTRAORDINARY that "RoundHere" I Can Call You MyMIRACLE and I'm so very very Grateful and so very very APPRECIATIVE of You my Bro... I'll sing with ya anyplace anytime anyhow 🙏🪖🙏🪖✨ NáMāsTë my Yo and Remember: "to keep the Wind at your back, the Sun in your Face and if ever I meet you I will call you Noah, my FRIEND"...👍🙏🪖🪖🪖✨✨✨
I thank you for being the man I will likely never meet. I am female human age 65. I live a 30 minute walk from the Charles Georges Medical Center - North Carolina.
I smile I cry at the same time.
I have purpose, GOOD
Sounds like I’m feeling sorry for myself
HA
Get to work
Carry-on
the crowd didn't pay enough respect to this version. I'm only new to Noah but damn, the guy has massive talent. Wish he'd come to Australia.
"...oh babe we're all tired of something...round here" *chills*
Noah, This song made you want to write music...your performance is why I love music...Bravo!
For real I’m buying what he’s selling ya know… also I think I’m in love
I couldn't say it better ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This hit on an emotional level I wasn’t expecting. Thank you
Amazing. No words.
@catshenanigansNC yet there are three 🫂🔥
It held me the same x
Man. I can’t believe I’m crying like this to a song I forgot I knew by an artist I’ve never heard. This is for the books. I want to cover this cover, he’s so inspirational!! I’ve been feeling like jumping but I know we’re all tired of something….round here….
If you’ve never heard of him, you should totally check out his other stuff. He is an amazing singer-songwriter, on of my favorites of the past ten years or so.
This is one of my favorite songs and I wanted to hate it. Instead I felt like hearing it for the first time all over again. Beautiful
I am 67. I used to sing this to my best buddy's daughter when she was a baby. This song means a lot to me. This is the best version.
This is absolutely insane to me... Always a good song, but when I listen to this its become something more... transcendent! Never heard of Noah before this and wow I'm so amazed what a talented guy!
Sooo Real. Thank you😊
This happened to come across my timeline. Thank god it did when it did. He was born to sing this. 🫶
