Today I test 30 erasers to find the best eraser for me! Which is your favorite? Did you like or hate any of the ones I tried?

Kasey Golden ILYSM and I think the Dixon one isn’t very good. So I would recommend any other one

I erased colored pencil with my kneaded eraser and then I was erasing a different drawing and it smeared onto that. So yea, don't erase colored pencil with a kneaded eraser.

It picks up dirt and animal hair very well also..I have 3 dogs and if it falls on the floor it picks up quite loads of everything and then I hate it and throw it out,pick peace’s off and so on...and sometimes we also need a more steady and harsher eraser too,so here we are checking on other ones too

4th one on the list that you were describing as “a block of cheese”, was a gum eraser. Staedtler and Prismacolor make the best variants that don’t leave a mountain of dust.

I have a tip for you guys!!
If the line art kinda fades after erasing it maybe because the pen isn't fully dry on the paper. So you can either blow dry the thing before you erase or let it air dry overnight.
*or you just have a crappy pen*

On it, its labeled "dust free eraser"
However when I erase with it, it fills like, 75% of the paper with dust.

Have you try not to pick up the eraser too much? Erasing back and forth instead of erasing in small circles? I've tried one of the dust free Pentel eraser and it was amazing.

It's not worse than having an eraser on top of your pencilw that doesn't do its job and ruin your paper with pink traces. I see you, pink eraser on my lead.

There's really not too many brands to try here and factis it's pretty common brand around here
That brown Staedler eraser that you weren't sure about. That is a gum paste eraser that is particularly good for use on transparent paper like tracing paper.

I am just five years late, but in case anyone wants to know, the plastic sleeve on the faber castell one is because that kind of eraser is usually sold for school. With the sleeve it probably is less likely to get dirty from being who knows where in a schoolbag. And it's fun to fiddle with during class and seems cool
When a eraser does a lot of damage to the ink:

Same, but it's good to get a scope on what's good in case you just want to do traditional every once in a while.
This was actually pretty helpful for me cause I don't do traditional often, so I wouldn't know what's good.
I'm disappointed 😂, you didn't use the hi-polymer eraser, now that's truly the best eraser in my opinion. They aren't even expensive and it erases everything and you dont even see where it was before I highly recommend. :)

BLUE TACK (LePage) just form shape like kneaded eraser. Strongest lifting power, fine detail fix, NO damage to paper even if you draw on toilet paper ;-).
Mr pen is an amazing eraser! You can get them on there website and on amazon

I’ve never been too interested in art but I will say. When this video came out 5 years ago I watched the entire thing. Now I’ve been back almost every year to watch it again. I don’t know why but it Is very entertaining.
I have an electric eraser. You hold down the button and the eraser spins really fast. It's great

I’m an artist and I use a Japanese McDonald’s French fries eraser and it works fine
I used eraser that my little brother gave me, and i like it a lot

Honestly, my favorite rectangle eraser is the extra soft factis. It erases very little ink and erases the pencil in less than a second

All I use is those basic large erasers that say “for big mistakes”, the first “school” brand one you used, and I had no idea mechanical erasers existed until recently so yea, I also use that one sometimes.
I don’t know how many times I blew on my screen to get rid of the eraser shavings...

I don’t even draw, but now I know how to get rid of my mistakes with the best and the worst erasers displayed.
The Faber- Castell pencil eraser is for two different purposes. The white side is to pick up ink and the pink side is supposed to be a general eraser.

I like those plastic erasers from target, the one with the Japanese on it. I forget what they're called. But also now I have an army of erasers... Kneaded, mechanical, and plastic bc I need them for different things. Also I've learned that harder kneaded erasers can be softened by running it over pencil a bunch and then trying to work it.

The pencil eraser is great for details if you work in pencil only drawings, ads highlights as well. but is something you can also use a kneaded one and make a tip.

My favorites are the General's kneaded eraser and the Sumo Grip. I freaking love those! I had a Prismacolor kneaded eraser that was so soft and so damp it was...sticky. Like...really sticky. My least favorite is the Pink Pearl. They still smell bad. But not like the did when I was a kid. Thank you so much

OMG THE EGG GUM WAS LIKE MY CHILDHOOD. So here's the story, they used to have these way more often a while back and they had cool little designs on them and I loved them and used to steal then from my sister. Everyone wanted these and people traded them they were like a dollar and they were also at my school store

Also, the mono sand eraser is made to Warsaw away the color from colored pencils. Not erase away pencil graphite. That’s why it’s got that sand grip

The Staedtler ??? eraser was a natural (gum) rubber eraser. These erasers are great for picking up a lot of graphite without damaging the paper, although they do leave a lot of shavings behind. The Sax or Prismacolor Artgum are my faves.
You can get the generals tri eraser like all over, I bought a few and they’re SO NICE, they’re so smooth and they erase so damn well, usually they’re around 1.00-2.00$ and you’re defiantly getting what your paying for:D
