I played my first highlander and it was a mix that was going to start in 15 mins and they needed 1 more pyro player. searched up this video right after the game 😂 (I kept leaving our combo but still managed to W+M1 4 guys with a flank and my team was laughing their asses off.

uh the way flame mechanics work is weird in tf2. basically flames linger after you fire them so pretending theres a spider on your mouse does more damage

my opinion is you should use degreaser if you're going for combos (so pairing it with like panic attack or flare gun), and stock if you're going for defensive and/or detonator pyro

@@dopamine-bandit I would say that you should use degreaser with spam weapons like detonator cuz you need to quickly multitask between spamming and reflecting or just burning, the afterburn penalty isn't big deal when comboed with the detonator cuz detonator is just going to replace all that afterburn from flamethrower anyways and slightly higher airblast cost isn't going to matter much especially in pubs or highlander, where ammo is everywhere. Sure, sometimes, it can fuck you over, but the slower switch speed is just so much more detramental to your overall peformance, that it's barely noticable. I would advise to use stock flamethrower with panic attack though, since you have your regualar afterburn while having quick switches, but this combo is better in tighter and closed maps.
