A similar way to get nanites fast: if you have high rep with the factions, you can get 50% off on the modules they sell. Buy them all then sell them back to them at 100% the price
i fight sentinels until the capital ship shows up. i just fly a little ways away from the capital ship and kill the fighters. they just keep respawning as far as i can tell, and they drop a few things that can be refined to nanites and glass that turns into modules to sell.
If you're duping, at that point just dupe hyaline brains for way faster nanite refinement. But this vid is clearly for people who don't wanna cheat lol

It's boring, if you're dupping it's easier to just save edit, by doing the stuff in the video at least you're experiencing new galaxies and planets
Yeah on my main save I duped my way to the top and does get boring. On my survival run I play without exploits and is way more fun
