At last a video that breaks down the complication of flow rates! Great video. A lot of information to take on, it’s great we can jump to the reference point that is most relevant. This is gold!
Great video man. Thanks for the information. Philly guy here and we don't let pony's in the carport man 😂😂 lost me on that one. Gret pump information tho.
I'm not good at math, so I am having hard time figuring out the flow rate for my 5000 gallon- Canadian;) pond. 3 f ft / 25ft distance from pump location to top waterfall
I don't want a waterfall; I just want a pond spitter at the edge of my pond. Do I just need the one pump for that? Will that be okay for my small garden pond and a few fish? I'm finding this really confusing.
Hi Mark, built my Koi pond last year with a pressure filter also got an aerator plus lots of pond plants, oxygenators and marginals and my Koi bred in the first year. However been getting some flak about using the filter I’ve got with the’local experts’ saying pressure filters are unsuitable for Koi. What’s your opinion?
@The Pond Advisor well I guess it wouldn't be a bog filter. It would just be a 55 gallon drum size filter. Sorry I put bog in there. I have a 4000 gallon pond. I already have 2 filters. I just wanted something that would be more like nature filtering through rocks
before building a pond think of the energy! we designed a most effcient pond pump ! 6 version are available! most popular 2022 is PP30-75L from marinaqua luxembourg

1000 gals per foot for a flat sheet style waterfall so 3’ wide you need 3000gals minimum at the head and run
@mark
Can you do video about making natural garden streams please

You can have a very small pump operating a small spitter

What difference does the size of hose make please ?
Friction
Mark: one Q: are larger pumps generally more efficient even if you bleed them off?
Depends on the application
👍👍👍
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi can you have 3 filters on a small fish pond to keep the water clear
yes you can have more than one. Do you need three? No is one system better yes ruclips.net/video/-eC_t0d6F0s/видео.html
I want to add 55 gallon dyi filter using a white food grade barrel. What size pump would I need? I have a 4500 gph pump
Depends, what outlet or inlet pipe, or what size pond do you have.

In my experience I'd go for twice the flow rate you think you need every single time.
If you unsure you can turn it down or install a blowoff valve, you can’t however turn them up.
