JP you need more recognition that what you are given you are a true friend to bees and a God send to them--Nat. Geo or Brave Wilderness or some show of your own and even a teacher at some university--you are amazing!! God bless you and the bees.
Love it when the flooring comes up that easily. Sometimes they are nailed down AND glued. When that happens, it is very difficult to take up the flooring without breaking it in pieces.
James Wagner it’s actually quite rare that they are nailed & glued but I have done a small handful like that & I can concur they are indeed a pain in the you know what!
Hi JP, I remember a video from a few yrs. ago real similar to this. Where you caught the queen right away. Always look forward to your videos. They are fun to watch and educational.
That Queen was super long. You should do a few videos on your favorite removals, your worse, Kids and Bees, and your favorite customers, you could just give a narration of why these removals made the list. Mine so far was the one where the swarm's Queen walked off the side of the tree and right into your nuk set up, and all the workers just followed her right in there. I like to see a removal of some bumble bees, and how you handle them.
I have not watched all your videos, however so far I have only seen one other where you found the queen right away . Ironically the hive was also in the floor and the queen walked out of their hive right beside your nuke box and you picked her up in your hand because you didn’t even have a queen catcher on hand and had to run out to your truck and get one . Thank you for saving the bees.
That was fast. that was a great video, keep up the good work . I thought you said not to wear black because they think its a bear. that might be the reason they hit you a few times there. take care. one more bee hive for the colony, you got to love free bees .
Rusty Nail I often wear black & dark blue around bees. To me it’s more about scent control than dark colors. I wear unscented deodorant & never wear cologne around bees. I actually only received about 5-6 stings during the entire process.
You should look into amadou mushroom extract for bees I hear it boost immunity to parasites and mites. I would try and test it but I don't have any bees at the moment. Look up Paul stamets amadou extract and you'll find the video you kinda look like the guy to.
All jokes aside, The amadou extract is the real deal according to PauI and I hate to see a hive die out. Ive got a bee tree right now I'm waiting for it to swarm I got my paps old boxes set and baited. Hopefully I can catch me one.
nakyer it was actually a close, close call at that mark. Notice how I vacuumed her right after I pull away. Sometimes they will zoom onto you then fly right back to the colony. That is a type of warning I’ll take any day of the week! 👍
That was fast and I wanted you to know JP if you see this how nice it is hear you appreciate Baba O’Riley. And I hope you have met her in person. I first met her on moonie’s very last time with her and over the years about three times and then Thunderfingers takes a permanent leave of absence and I’ve even gone to see with only half of her there and she’s still worth going to see even though she’s even half deaf now. But I still love her and I know you and I won’t get fooled again Brother. PS I hope you aren’t the only one who can figure out what I just said JP.
Love your videos JP, I've been binge watching for the last week! I have a question, when you put the queen in her cage and transfer her to the hive box how long does she stay there? Do you have to release her or do the bees chew through the elastic bands?
Milk Louis the queen stays caged roughly 3-4 days then I release her. The bees usually chew through most of the rubber bands & push them out of the entrance to the hive, bees ain’t stupid! ☺️
Isa Bo they very rarely sting humans it’s just about unheard of. They actually use their stingers against rival queens before they are mated, so for the most part only Virgin queens use their stingers.
JP, I love your videos. When I think of the time you spend travelling, accessing the bees, risking life and limb climbing ladders, getting out the bees, etc. I am thinking at least the first 2 hours should be least $125 an hour. You do awesome work.
Hi JP it's Cheryl in Oregon. Love the video, but bee careful. You might need to wear a hood. It looked like you took one on the forehead. That was the fastest queen catch ever. Keep up the good work. Having a good day here, hope you are there. Thank you.
I have to ask something, I have seen a video, a short one, on these ruclips.net/video/EZ1eAM8CChc/видео.html, are these horrible creatures in the U.S.? I try to do some research on them, and I get different reports. I'm hoping you might have the scoop on it, or have you seen them.
Lorrie Ruff those are giant Asian hornets. They’re 5.5 times larger than honey bees! I’m not 100% certain of their exact range, but they’re not in my area, thank God!
Look I found this video on how Japanese honey bees handle those buggers ruclips.net/video/awoV5Wj9Iys/видео.html, you may want to see if you could get a few queens to add to your mix, it was very interesting. for a short video.
Lorrie Ruff Asian honey bees are able to withstand a bit higher temperatures than European bees or Asian hornets for that matter. I’m okay with what we have here, not even sure if Asian honey bees could even survive here.
Lorrie Ruff Beekeepers in the United States do have issues with hornets, forget what type exactly albeit I do know keepers who at times have major issues with them.
It seems that Japan have tried European Honey bees over there, they like how much more honey they make, but the Asian hornets have been killing them off . So I guess there may be no chance for a highbred to be created. I never really seen anything as bigger than a bald faced hornets, I think that is what they where called? Mostly gray. Do seen them with grass hoppers. But no bees.
Are you Ready?, I see the Queen!! - Bravo, my friend that needs to be made into a great short. Loved the video
JP you need more recognition that what you are given you are a true friend to bees and a God send to them--Nat. Geo or Brave Wilderness or some show of your own and even a teacher at some university--you are amazing!! God bless you and the bees.
I'd have to agree that this is likely a record. I've never gotten a queen anywhere near that fast on a removal. Nice snag!
628DirtRooster I have to confess that I cheated. I called Schawee right before I opened the floor. He said she’d “be right dere sher!” ☺️
I should have known. Well your acting skills are impeccable.
628DirtRooster only took 127 takes ☺️
I ordered some extra batteries for you today.
628DirtRooster thanks, gonna need em! ☺️
Watching a man work with love is a beautiful sight. I will take your advice JP and get help with bee hives I may encounter.
You da man Jp! That queen was a beauty. How about a tour of your bee yard?
Glad to see you're making more awesome videos JP.. Keep it up bud . 👍🐝

Super fast spotting of the queen, and one beautiful lady to assist you 👍🏼😊 (Tiffany 🌹). 😊
Thank you for all the video's you make JP! It's truly appreciate! Keep it up! From a northern beekeeper in Minnesota
Hi JP, I remember a video from a few yrs. ago real similar to this. Where you caught the queen right away. Always look forward to your videos. They are fun to watch and educational.
I hope your health is restored and you'll be making tons of new videos. You caught her so quick I was looking for where is Schawee!
Nice work! I love seeing the way the bees arrange the comb when left to themselves.
Wooped em again Josey!
Pleasure watching you JP.
Peace.
JpYou are truly the beeman! Good work!Old school man!
APheonixPretense8 👍🤙🐝🐝🐝
That is one heck of a service that you provide. Great job!
Almost Homestead thank you!
I thinking the “J” in JP stands for Jedi 🤔. Using The Force is the only explanation for that lightning fast queen find.

Jp that was a skilled clean damage free material put back in place Bee removal. Nice job!
time1800 that’s the beauty of going through the floor, no Sheetrock repair necessary! 👍
Outstanding video (as always). Nice instructional description at the beginning!
JP, it's been awhile since I've said hello from the left coast. Hope all is well and thanks for another great video. -Kevin
I really like your video's mate you are funny and educational at the same time cheers .
Another great resource video Jeff thanks,
Good job JP. I can’t say I’ve never found one that fast. Enjoyed the video.
Scott Derrick thanks Scott! How are you feeling buddy?
Doing good bud! You look like you’ve shed a few pounds! Looking good!
Scott Derrick lol brother, I did shed some but gained some back but back in the saddle again!
Awesome luck! Great and smooth cutout! Well done!
Julie Enslow thank you, it was a nice gift to catch the queen so early in the game. 🐝🐝🐝
Nicely done. You should recruit her, she might make a good wrangler ;) That is a record as far as I am concerned.
Normally you find the queen at the End of a removal, not at the beginning.
Well done, Eagle eyes.
Love your work!

Short and sweet! Cool!
@ 2:52...was that another "oops...that was my fault folks" moment?
Dusty Janssen almost!
Good job.. What did your buddy Schawee have to say about that??
Doug in Denver: you lucky son of a way to go man Looks like a full box a bees.

yeah deodorant would not be a good thing, I have seen you wearing black before , I was just wondering. thanks for the reply. take care.
Love your videos! Been watching for awhile now. By the way, did u get stung in the face??
Heather Krebs it looks like I did but I actually did not. It was a close call! ☺️
You should look into amadou mushroom extract for bees I hear it boost immunity to parasites and mites. I would try and test it but I don't have any bees at the moment. Look up Paul stamets amadou extract and you'll find the video you kinda look like the guy to.
Tyler Lewis I’ve heard of the magic mushroom theory but have not experimented with it. Have you?
All jokes aside, The amadou extract is the real deal according to PauI and I hate to see a hive die out. Ive got a bee tree right now I'm waiting for it to swarm I got my paps old boxes set and baited. Hopefully I can catch me one.
Good grief! HOW IN THE WORLD do you do this without wearing protective gear?
*EDIT-*
*Was that a sting at **2:49** ?*
nakyer it was actually a close, close call at that mark. Notice how I vacuumed her right after I pull away.
Sometimes they will zoom onto you then fly right back to the colony.
That is a type of warning I’ll take any day of the week! 👍
About as frequent as someone taking oppositions queen in less than 4 moves in a chess match.
Man this was awesome! Did you get stung in the eye when you flinched backwards?!?
The Cajun Ninja no, but it was close!
JPthebeeman yikes!
The Cajun Ninja you cooking sum rice sher? 😉

The LORD blessed you finding her that fast.

Thanks so much for the reply, those bees are fascinating!
Milk Louis no worries 👍🐝🐝🐝

1:33.....ice cream!!!!
She is big!!! Queens don't sting?
Isa Bo they very rarely sting humans it’s just about unheard of. They actually use their stingers against rival queens before they are mated, so for the most part only Virgin queens use their stingers.
AWESOME.
It's actually insane how many bees there could be so quickly lol, scary
Good things happen to good people.
@ 02:48 ooh! face-sting. thats gotta hurt a bit.
Christopher Brown it was a close call but actually didn’t get stung that time believe it or not.

When was this footage from Jeff?
kckrye last week 😉
6th comment! love your videos Jp!!
Hey Jp. My name is Evan I was wondering if you would be interested in talking at a bee asosiation meeting.
Is there a fee to the homeowner for the service you provide removing the bees and Hive?
Yes, $125 an hour
Raj Beekie $125.00 per hour, lol, I wish!

Oh Ok, I was really excited about them. I'm a big believer in the best defense is a good offence. But you know more about the little ones than I do.
