Far too many families in the U.S. are coping with adolescents and young adults who are using alcohol or substances (legal and illegal). Learn more about the crisis and what adults in the family can be more alert for to address this with youth in their family.

The statistics are baffling, and I believe it’s imperative to be proactive in regard to illicit drug use!
Back in 2017, on July 15, my little brother, Danny passed away from fentanyl poisoning, (forever 22,) and since then, I’ve had several friends from junior high school that have died as well, (we’re all in our late 40’s/ early 50’s.)
I agree that fentanyl testing strips should be legally available, and that we should all carry Narcan in our first aid kits. It’s much better than attending a funeral, and/ or knowing that a family is going to be devastated and forever changed.
