- The Skywalk opened in 2007 and is operated by the Hualapai Nation. The Skywalk was assembled on top of the canyon wall and moved into final position by a jack and roll rig. The Skywalk infrastructure itself weighs a little over 1million pounds. The Skywalk is 4770 feet above sea level and has a glass walkway visitors can see the canyon below their feet as they walk.

I’m scared looking at it from my phone laying in my bed 😂
Same here 😂😂😂
Agree.That is scary.
It is scarier seeing it on the phone than it is walking on it in real life
hope to visit soon!
Insane
I can see it fine from here.
Love this ❤
If i found myself on something that high i,d faint piss & shh 😂
I'm watching this to try to lower my anxiety. I'll be there in a few days😮😮😮😮
You'll be fine! It will be something you will always remember so enjoy:)
WOW!
X out wow try ..yikes 😮
The banisters are very low, I would definitely stay away from the edge.
The glass panels are over 5 feet tall. The banisters or railings are only halfway up.
💯agree ,me too.
I couldn’t do this for any amount of money. Terrifying!
Same
It’s more incredible how they built it
Yes it is and hats off to the crew who made it happen!
I been there and walked on the glass floor
A man fell off this on June 5th that railing needs to be alot taller 😮 definitely NOPE
While the official report is yet to be released on the cause of the fall, local law enforcement issued a statement including a link to the national suicide prevention website. We wish peace to the family and those who witnessed this very tragic event. Safety is important in all areas of life including inner safety. We travel by vehicle to discover great places in our journeys through life. We also have the opportunity to travel inside ourselves and find meaningful destinations we can always return to once found.
Damn, the glass rail is to LOW!!! look at the heights of the ppl. dangerous don't trip or faint.
If i woke up and found my self up there i,d cry piss & shh myself ..😮
Some guy just fell from there
Hi tysonkuresa5830 yes that is true. Any attraction can be dangerous if safety protocol isn't followed. For millions of visitors, this attraction has been safe and will be in the future as long as safety is a priority.
It was a suicide.
It gave me vertigo looking at it
I seen on my phone where it says from this sky walk someone fell 4000 feet to their death!
Look at these silly billies 😮
Ben there did that
This video states that it is 2,300 ft but the news report about the man that fell from the skywalk fell 4,000 ft??
He climbed the rails they said so that is why some believe it might have been suicide
@@emmeau my question is where did the difference of 1,700 ft come from?
@@R85O maybe he climbed to a higher place rock not really sure I’ve watched another video where a man went over to a rock then couldn’t comfort back and fell but not sure if it’s same Grand Canyon location
Why is the railing so low?
To give visitors a bigger thrill for their money.
sucks you can't take your cell phone
That’s crazy! I’m not a fan of heights.
Nope
World's highest man-made structure? Nope!
Burj Khalifa is. Google it.
Lol, there was a dude who fell over 4000 feet to his death. Mia Khalifa has nothing on that.
@@battleborn8658Mia khalifa is crazy 💀
no for me
The reviews on Yelp call it overrated. Probably hours of cues. Will do more research.
i thought cameras are not allowed 🤔
Nah, I'm good...
Nope!
Sacred Land.. Desecrated for your enjoyment
Heeeeeeell No.
