You can do this options: 1. Settings > apple id > communication preferences > from there turn off announcements and app,music, tv etc to prevent apple spams 2. Settings > safari > advance > from there turn of privacy preserving ad mesurement to prevent ad tracking. 3. Settings > privacy and security > apple advertising > from there turn off personalized ads to limit apple ads. It works 100% to me without any issues
Also never answer unknown numbers you don’t know. If it’s legit and a real person then they will leave a voicemail. Scammers and fakes 99% of the time never leave voicemails. They normally just keep calling back to back using the same method in this video until you give in and answer.
no one leaves voicemails in Portugal since 10 years ago. Absolutely no one. Plus, there are MANY situations were not answering a no known phone can have terrible consequences. Alarm companies uses different numbers each time they call you, when the alarm goes off. Job interviewers call you from numbers you don´t know, and might not leave a messages if you don't answer.
Interesting if true. Does the EU use a different method or something? It maybe politically driven in nature than given our upcoming election this nov if we are really getting targeted specifically.

This happened to me last week. Said my gmail and other passwords are in risk. I went in to check and I thought it must be genuine and I should change the passwords. I was a bit low and lazy at that time that I thought I’d do this later and forgot about it. Thank god it all worked out well
A large amount of those reset password notifications happened to me late last night, took scrolling though many to click on don’t allow. This was the most intrusive I’ve ever seen!

You neglected to advise us to go to settings and turn on 'Silence Unknown Callers' or even screen scam calls and not answer. Then block the number. Apple will never call any iPhone user unless a call is scheduled with tech support.
Ok I know I’m seeing this later but I just got this pop up a few minutes ago. Luckily I knew the scam was out there so I didn’t fall for it. I can’t just change numbers because of work so what way helps get rid of this?
Apple should have a waiting time period before they send another authentication notification to the user... lets say one notification every 10 min, this way is more manageable to solve the problem by changing personal information

Same thing happened with my apple iphone. The way I solved the problem was turned the phone off took my sim out of it and put the phone in a drawer and bought a samsung phone put my sim in it and no more problems.
I had a pop up saying my password had been compromised and asked me to put in my phone password 6 numbers but I ignored it and not heard anything since and this was a couple of days ago. Mandy 🇬🇧

I didn’t get those exact warnings. My warnings stated something like my passwords were found on the net in hacked areas for various sites like Google and some bank apps I don’t use . I just ignored them. Found it odd that I’d get a bunch of them. Anyone else get a similar message and not the ones shown in this video? Hopefully Apple will address it and solve it.

My iPad flashed up a whole load of warnings about my passwords being part of a data breach and that I should change them all. Is that a scam? I have not done anything about it as yet.
I had encountered something like this on my Mac some time ago, and I can't remember how I fixed it, but I googled the problem and someone had the answer. I knew that it was a scammer.

Limit the password change requests to 1 per day, they way you will need to call iPhone to get access to account, also register the up address request came from. Apple then could compare to your actual up address and bar white or black list specific up adress form using the password reset page.

Anther way you cam midgate it is by enabling the Spam spoofing on your iPhone as well as using a business class email service that blocks data leaks of email addresses such as office 365 with the delete me service off dark web as well
No I’ve had no issues so far whosoever tries me to give information over the phone I don’t give it I am using an app to identify fraudulent phone callers not in my contact list, and I send to spam any unknown email that I have not allowed in my email! Use security keys to lockdown your iCloud account. That stolen device protection seems to be a great way to further protect ourselves. That said, I’ll not run out panicking, screaming of fear because there’s nothing to fish for using security keys and if YOU don’t give away any information.

To maintain overall stability & security. That does not include interim threats from scum working around the clock to dupe careless iOS users. Thankfully, Apple doles out timely & effective iOS updates. As long as we update when Apple prompts us, we should be safer than most.
In Zambia iphones are changing to No Service or No Sim Card, i dont know if its a bug or Apple is restricting iPhones in some countries… is there anyone or country with this same issue?

My mum is on iOS 17.4.1 on an iPhone 11 Pro and is still getting this problem on April 1st 2024 (it’s not an April fools mind lol)
I just clicked on each prompt and deleted. No calls received as my block list is bigger than my contact list.
You can do this options:

That will not work as it is a password reset issue. However, it has since been resolved on Apple's server side.

I'm in Poland and I only got a couple of these prompts on monday 25th, thought it's a bug and just restarted all my devices and never got a call.
Unfortunately most US residents are easy to trick that’s why scammers target them more.

That won't work as the number comes from Apple since they spoof it. However, Apple has fixed the issue

go to your settings and then passwords and security suggestions. If it is there it is real, otherwise ignore it.

Yes, because when you set your security keys, no more Apple code is used as 2FA. I use yubikeys in my Apple ID. But you need at least 2 of them.

I got different type of prompt which was odd. I got a prompt that was a similar alert saying that you device is being used for FaceTime and iMessage.

The issue has been resolved, but all iPhones were at risk cause it was fixed on Apple side
