- While we were up in SF for Tony Trujillos's new TNT Advanced Prototype release from Vans, we cornered him in a hotel room to see who his favorite skater is before hitting the Giants game to watch him throw the first pitch. Most of you can probably take a wild guess as to who Tony's favorite is... but for those of you without a clue-hit play!

Called it even before I clicked play. Cardiel: Your favorite's favorite. It's amazing to see the influence that Cardiel has had on a lot of today's skaters. He's often imitated, but never duplicated. All Hail Cardiel! And I'm really digging this segment, too. Please keep these coming.

I'm so glad he brought up Pizzey park specifically. That bowl is my local and is no joke, it takes no prisoners. Cardiel's noseslide down the hip is legendary here, he was the first person to try anything on it since it was built in 1987.

Was a killer on concrete? Tony still rips as hard as ever! He's never stopped pushing. Skated with him not long ago.
@Literary Libations I spent and entire Summer in Santa Rosa back in like 96 or 97...Skated with Tony and his bro Jesse damn near everyday. He killed SR skatepark Daily. Used to take the bus from Santa Rosa to San Fran on the weekend and hit Embarcadero, Hubba and Pier 7....
Tony rips just as hard now if not better. Love watching him skate in person.
Go at it as fast as possible is Tony’s style and I fucking love it. Found him through a Thrasher issue in the 90’s. What a legend.

Cardiel is an absolute beast. So is Tony Trujillo! Two of my all-time favourites. I always loved guys who skated really fast & went huge. Also love Dennis Busenitz aka Booze & Tits, Danny Wainwright & Keith Hufnagel (R.I.P)

I`m so lucky to be alive in this era to witness such gnarly skaters like Cardiel or Tony. Jeez, I mean when You break it down I saw so many influencial skaters like, I can`t believe for example that I get to see Chris Cole pushing it every day or that I got to see Koston rip to shreds for 10 years or Jamie Thomas fucking wallplant an oak tree or Templeton Impossible Noseblunt a bench. Can somebody please argue with me how Nyjah Houston smithing the El Toro rail is comparable to any I just mentioned?

Why is more than 2/3 of the clip footage of TNT, thought it was about his favorite skater, not himself. To sad, the clip makes him look like a douche. Just cut the clip short or give us more Cardiel! Can't understand how you can fail with this...
