Saw these guy's 3rd row center for the Great White Snake Tour at the Providence Civic Center. One of my all time favorite shows and I've seen a couple hundred.
Worked security for a concert promoter here in St. Louis from '78 - '82 and saw every show that came here. Great times back then. A lot of great bands too.

Tech is great, don't get me wrong, but you actually had to "talk" to people/friends and "watch" bands and concerts. You actually had to engage with people, unlike today. We with our friends went to concerts and actually "watched" and danced along with great bands like Great White, White Lion, AC/DC, Slaughter, Poison, Motley Crue and so on. I miss those days. Anyone born after this, I feel sorry for y'all, you have no idea what you have missed! I went to go see Rob Zombie at a Rockville in FL and he saw how no one was clapping cause they were on their phones! He told the audience to put their damn phones down and engage in the show like it was back in 1994! It was great! And, people listened! It went from people not being engaged to clapping, dancing, singing along and rocking like back in 1994! I commend Rob Zombie for this! Rock on!

I met the love of my life in the 80s ..we went to this concert together we met when i 19 and he was 24..his is my life my everything my world ..were were together for 19 yrs ..we had a son together which completed us we loved each other so much ..and one day he was gone ..i was devasted i was in bad shape had to go on meds to help me cope i cried so much and had gut wrench..i found out he married a girl he only knew for 1 yr ..they also had a son together ..well one day i get a call its him crying ..that girl left him with a 3 week old baby and he needed help yes i did help him cause that poor baby didnt ask to be brought in this world.. so ya we started spending time together and our son and the other boy he had which they are only a yr apart they grew up together and went to the same high school and they are still good friends and hang out alot our son is 22yrs and the other is 21yrs ..but we are still together and we have gone right back to where we were ..love you Mark M
