  • I was the drummer for the fusion band duo "MorphEaden" with the incredibly talented Emanuel Paquete from 2007 to 2012. Paquete was one of the most gifted guitar players to emerge from the Azores, his playing exuding pure emotion, skill, and enchantment.
I vividly recall our first meeting on a boat trip between the islands of S. Miguel and Santa Maria. I was in my teens at the time, and he was in his early twenties. Despite the age gap, we quickly formed a friendship; Emanuel's captivating and uplifting personality made it effortless. A few years later, he invited me to join his new project following the success of his solo album "Luna Aquarius."
The duo briefly expanded into a trio when our mutual friend Miguel Bernardo, later my bandmate in Nableena, joined on bass, leading to the project being dubbed "Morpheaden." Winning the Azorean Labjovem musical contest allowed us to tour the Azorean archipelago, performing at stunning venues across Terceira, Pico, and S. Miguel islands. Additionally, I was honored with a course at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, which I attended in 2010.
My time with the band holds cherished memories, providing me with opportunities to perform in diverse venues and settings, transitioning from the metal world into a more classical sound. From theaters and auditoriums to music schools, we embraced a variety of stages and audiences.
    Truly, those were golden days-haha!
