The 2 civs that can ezly counter otto are Dutch and Portugal, the only best option is rush. You can't outboom those 2 civs with otto, FF doesn't work well, FI even worse.
Even Jan/Abus or Jan/cav rush can be countered with CM card, well placed buildings, good micro etc.

Livestock things: If you are really going big into livestock you don’t need as many villagers on food as you would have otherwise. Plus with all the bumping around if you have too many gathering from one you can lose a lot of time too.
