- Horn tune from Ore by Lissmats Anna Ersson (1883-1953) arranged by Henrik Berg, played on the 1957 Åkerman & Lund organ in Ore Church, Rättvik, Sweden. The organ has some pipe material from the previous organ built in 1902 by the local builder P. J. Johansson.
Here I'm using:
b. 1: SW: Rörflöjt 8', Salicional 8', Gemshorn 4; PED: Principal 16', Subbas 16', SW/PED; GR: Gedackt 8', Täckflöjt 4', Kvinta 2 2/3'
b. 41: - Kvinta 2 2/3', + SW/GR;
b. 48: SW + Waldflöjt 2', + GR/PED;
b. 64: GR: + Principal 8'; PED: + Oktavbas 8';
b. 80: as b. 1
Lissmats Anna Ersson lived in Dalbyn, Ore parish, and was the most prominent horn player of Ore. The horn in question is not a French horn but a traditional Swedish cow horn with finger holes. This tune is still popular in Ore, often played at funerals.

This is a horn tune by Lissmats Anna Ersson, who lived in the village of Dalbyn, Ore parish in northern Rättvik, and was the most prominent horn player of Ore. The horn in question is not a French horn but a traditional Swedish cow horn with finger holes.🐮 This tune is still popular in Ore, often played at funerals. A hauntingly beautiful melody of bittersweet sadness, so typical of Sweden!
Ljuvligt!
Underbart!
Verkligen vackert orgel stycke 🎹🎵🎹🎵🎹🎵
