I have the same kit on my 1989 Bronco with the 5.8. I had the same experience. Very quiet in the cab. About the same as the oem muffler. I still have the oem cat and manifolds as well.
I live in Cali w 96 Windsor. Still have both factory cats obviously to pass smog. Removed the flowmaster 40 out of curiosity and ran dual tips out the passenger side front of back tire. Sounds better.. Louder but nothing obnoxious.
I have a 95 and reworked the entirety of the engine. I added the BBK shortys to the list and did the install. I have an issue with the Y-Pipe not fitting correctly. Did you run into that issues as well? If so, how did you resolve it? Also...I have a 22 Badlands decked out!
Any plans to do a Solid Axle Swap? I never liked the TTB front setup in the 80 to 96 Fords. I bought a '95 F150 new with the straight 6, 5 speed manual, 3.73 gears and limited slip front and rear. It was great, but, I always missed having a solid axle up front like in the 4 70's Fords I had before and the 2001 F 250 Superduty I had after it. That's a sweet Bronco though. Can't wait to see what you do next.
No actually I’m leaving the TTB but completely overhauled with Desolate Motorsports. I did consider doing a SAS using super duty axles but building the TTB is a game changer on these.
Huge difference! But keep in mind I literally did every square inch of the interior, floors, walls, doors, tailgate, can roof, And doubled over it with 1/8” fullback foam. Lots of labor but worth it for how much quieter it is now.

Had a 91 Eddie Bauer with 5.8 and custom flow master duals…way way back in the day 1996 before it was cool.
Nice!
More Bronco videos pls!
They’re there 😈👌
Hey, I watched the previous video smog delete and would like an update on how you did your resistors and the vacuum lines needed
I ended ordering this kit fiveologyracing.com/product/thermactor-tab-tad-eliminator-kit/ and put egr back on.
Why is the coffee can back? I thought it was deleted
Good catch! I’m still throwing a CEL I’m trying some work arounds solutions for EGR. Will report back this week.

Do you have a link for the kit?? And is it for the 5.8??
It’s in the description 🤘🏻
Did just using the kill mat actually make a difference in the road noise?

FACT - Windsor sounds best through a flowmaster muffler
Agreed!
Flowmaster are some of the worst flowing mufflers ever.
When it comes to tone personally a fan of the glass packs on the 351
