I'm not 100% sure what the hoove mod is? Is that where they add the oiling gally to the cam? If so no, I've never done that and have never had a problem with a cam.
Is there any problems with lineboring past .020” ? I’ve got a couple of cases that should be linebored, but they’re already @ .020. With the price of new cases today, we’ve got to salvage our old parts. Nice video!👍
I personally don't have a problem with it. I know my machinist has bore bars set up for 40 and 60. You are right, we have to run what we have. Plus, the old cases have already gone through their heat cycles unlike the new ones.
Hello Clint love the channel. I am also in Michigan so i went to see Jim after i saw your video.
Jim's a very cool dude 😎
Looks like fun Clint!
Wow, not too many unmolested VW engines left out there.
Can you a video on how to degree a camshaft? I can't find a good video on how to do that.
I'll see what I can do.
@@ddk56vw If you do make a video on how to degree a cam, please put as much info as possible. I asked other channels to make a video, and no one has.
Are you going to do the hoover mod to that case?
