We buy paint often as my kids love painting. We love TGTB language arts and science

An inspiring haul as always - your book selections always help us add to our Wishlist. Usually we don't have many/any of the books you find, but I've had the complete set of Beatrix Potter since I was a child and have also visited the areas in the Lake District where she lived and worked many times (I'm from the UK). Just so you know pronunciation-wise the English county Gloucester is pronounced Gloss-ter and the name Jemima is j-mime-a (j as in the starting sound for the word jug) rather than gem-a. 😊 Hope you enjoy the Beatrix Potter's, they are much loved here and such sweet tales with lovely illustrations.

Do you get charter school money? We can barely afford one piece a month. It's discouraging.

The comparison game is discouraging, it happens to all of us. First, we lean on the Lord with all our might. Our state does not offer charter school money or any funding for homeschooling. We sacrifice other wants and some needs to invest in our children. I can share some ways we save money: utilize free resources as much as we can, library, youtube, khan academy, and free printables. I also create or DIY a lot of our unit studies, activities, and sometimes worksheets. I save money by purchasing downloads and printing at home. This way I can re-use the download for more than one child. We have an HP printer ink subscription to save money on ink. I shop used as much as I can- thrift stores, library books sales, homeschool buy/sell pages. When grandparents want to help we ask for books, educational resources/games, Amazon gift cards, or museum/zoo memberships for birthdays/Christmas.
I hope this encourages you some!
