- Definitely not a GADA watch, but still holds a special place to me.
These are three colorways of the Bulova Computron Reissues, originally released in 2019 I believe. They are Reissues of the original 1972 Bulova Computron, which was one of the coolest LED watches from it's time.

I had a Texas Instruments when I was a kid. It was round face jet black had a red display when you pushed the button on the side. My sister picked them up at place she worked at. She got one for me my father an her self. Was in the seventies cool watch wish I still had it.
LED watches have had a bit of a revival, they'll always be an important piece to watch history.

Really fun watches for sure. I kept the gold one as it's the truest to the originals, and I also have a green one that I got after this, it's absolutely wild.

Got the bulova computron black Really liked how it was a unique watch and got it for $150
that day display is "MO" for Monday - the M being an N7 kind of thing on the seven segments.

I think it actually saying N70 as this was the original model number on the computron from the 70's
The old watches were wirebond dot matrix, not this digit segment stuff.
Wirebond has the advantage of heat dispersion better.
Heat was probably the number one factor in LED failure, then a bad cold solder joint second, ignoring physical damage.
Wirebond are more fragile.
This is actually a good looking watch, I can't say I like segmented displays, with dot matrix, you have more options like spelling out Mon for Monday, etc.
Yes I recall them as driving watches. My guess too is given the sideways len angle you might be better able to see in bright sunlight, vs straight on?

I can't see the $200 plus asking price, but still, if I were to spend that I might consider it. With a dot matrix this watch would have been perfect, segmented is a bit of a deal breaker for those of us that grew up with this type of watch.
They have had production reliability problems with some true dot matrix displays, failure rates high, I'm guessing it's why you don't see them now?
My guess desk top clock faces like the Amazon Dot are just using individual LEDs, to form a dot matrix display?
Is that battery/cell life any better than the older ones! I used to get just 3 months with dot matrix.
Battery life going good, I think the manual says 18 months if I recall? Thats if you press the button every day, and I don't use it every day, hardly ever. But it looks great. I kept the gold one, sold the others on.

Few watches are as distinct as this one. I kept my gold one, sold the other two. I picked up a more recent green led one, which looks really cool.

The N70 was the original model number for the computron so I think its an homage

Just bought a bulova marine star 2 days ago and then saw this, when I saw the picture online thought it had a speaker, I am more of a 90s person, bummer it only tells time, looks so gimmicky

The Silver Steel Blue LED Version looks nice , i ordered one now , approximately it will arrive in 2 weeks , this is my First Digital Watch ever . I couldn't shorten the steel bracelet on this page , so i have to do this as well later on , It has only one main function and that is showing the time for a few seconds🤣 , the Standard Quartz Movement with no Solar Power Tech will require Battery changes , which is annoying and the major reason why i don't like quartz movements , you have to use a tooth stick to set up the Time , it sounds like i will have a lot of Issue's with this watch , but the Retro Futuristic Design , the nice looking Blue LED Display , it's kinda uniqueness in the Watch Market , i mean i don't know any other Watch brands currently who are selling casquette Digital watches , and finally the Name itself Computron , what a Name for a Model , just Cool i already fell in Love . This is a Highly Collectable watch , i am not talking about Money , more Like Collectable for Watch fans .
I guess the Production of these series will be Limited anyway maybe 100`000 ? , i am sure it was just made for Watch Collectors/Fans , Cool .
